This pic kind of missed its mark, but the skinny vertical composition is fun to work with.
9"x22" charcoal and a little red acrylic paint on paper.

The tonal depth here is amazing - it really gives this great muscular appearance to the subject that's interesting to compare with the mechanical parts. The use of all that red also works to great effect in making the composition as a whole very striking. Still, it'd be lovely to see you fill the entire paper with a biomechanical close-up like this. Fantastic work!

Argh, I've had this one mentally earmarked for commenting on for what feels like days now, and so help me I'm going to get around to it if it kills me.
Cards on the table; red/white/black + biomechanical = an immediate claim to going 'straight up my flagpole'. Though that sounds un-necessarily crude if you look at it the wrong way, so I'll just stick to the old classic regarding down and streets.
I digress. Your charcoal shading is strong and deep in a most enviable fashion, I love the roughness and texture to it. (And yet, there's such precision!) The level of detail in the figure also makes a great contrast against the stark and bold red background. Mmm. Finally, because it just has to be said; biomechanical nipples? That's got to be a neat touch.

Thanks! There's actually a good haul of biomechanical art around here that inspired the sudden push to add metal to flesh. And I'm glad you like the liquid, as it looked like crap for most of the time and I was getting worried till I fixed it o.O
