I have a dilemma...

Man, it looks *really* angsty, that's true, but 1) it's "addressing" a bit different issure and 2) on second look it's rather...strange.... (For a while it looked like a perverse "Madonna with Child" thing, heh. Heheheheheh.) And don't you want that hairstuff??
Since I didn't realize until too late that it's a bit hard to infer (though logic tells us most people lack holes in their backs), the grey figure did indeed *tore out* the heart (and whose red-shining blood darkened to black in the scan).
Marker, ink, and colored pencil. (including the annoyingly metallic silver one I hadn't done anything with until now)

If this were a pietà, then I find it fascinating the details hinting at your own personal relationship with these Christian icons.
*twists her neck sideways, first to the right, then to the left, pops and clicks accompanying the movement. She laces fingers together, then straightens her arms, palms facing out, her hands stretching while her knuckles chatter in a broken tattoo. Cracking bones can be heard as she sighs and rolls her shoulders*
The first thing we notice is the red of the "Christ" figure(at least in this interpretation) which is ironic because we are cleansed by his Atonement("our garments are made white in his blood" originally being stained with blood, and filthiness; I guess Jesus' blood is like bleach 
The next thing we notice is the white "Virgin Mary", a harpy-esque figure and a literal spin on an angel(for if humans had the wings of a bird, they'd probably have other avian features as well). The choice to make this figure white, could be a reference to her status as virgin, but her role in the picture is as the one who killed him. Grasping his body like prey(or cradling it like a mother) she pulls his heart out his back, laying her hand on his chest in questioning curiousity. I guess as the one who gave him life, she has the power(the right?) to take it away.
One thing I found especially interesting is that they share the stigmata, the wounds of the crucifixion. Have they both been sacrificed, then? I also like the texture of his feet. Like torn muscle...
I do not wish to offend you, so do not take my half-assed analysis as an assumption that I know you. I'm not haughty and do not pretend that my opinion means anything to you, just the need to give it is all I seek. I also give only the cursory exposition, in an attempt to avoid telling you who you are(not that I know squat anyway

What an interesting piece. I love how the "demonic" figure has a more... Oddly angelic feel to it. It's the fact that it looks like it has wings, really. A twisted and warped angel of death plunging it's newest victim into the depths of his own despair.
The art of this is fantastic... There's something about the texture I really like, and the details of it in general. Sweet job.
