Description
We felt it before we saw it, a deep vibration surging through air- a monstrous heartbeat.It has emerged from the sea and followed the moutnains, its immense footsteps immentently aimed toward the village. We flew past swiftly, daringly, into its shadow, the cranes shivering underneath their saddles. The assesment was grim. There is nothing we can do to stop it but hope it turns to spare our lives.

The Black Critical appears.
This state is new and needs exploration, as it's drastically broken form from traditional criticals. Originally I wanted to draw glowy heart and veins, and it came in to this.
Trying to kick my ass in to the next level and actually work at full force [or: detaildeath, argh!]. Will do things somethings differently next time, but I'm hoping this is a good start.

Holy flirking schnit!! You made this in Photoshop? I can't paint worth a monkey turd using PS, and I was really starting to think that if I wanted to do any decent painting work, I'd have to invest in Corel Painter or something.

I love good artwork, but I love good artwork even more when it's attached to good storytelling. I admit this caught my eye front-page because it resembled something out of a nightmare I had several years ago. Visiting this dissolved the major resemblences, but brought back some very stark memories and touched me greatly. Thank you for sharing this piece with the community, I'm off to check out the rest of your gallery!

Wow, awesome awesome concept! I love his face, but I especially love the cranes. Very cool! And the lighting is just absolutely intimidating...the way he glows from the inside and then throws that light on the outside too...gah!

I think the way you added a soft gentleness to an otherwise most gruesome scene is very becoming. I applaude you and have no negative critisizm. Good job my friend!
