The timing is on the bottom right of the page (some people don't show theirs but it is visible on any of mine if you want to check them out)- so on this one it was 2.5 seconds on the shutter, a tripod is definitely a must. I used the f20 aperture to reduce the light and it was 5:00pm on a cloudy day so it wasn't bright to begin with. I believe this one was with a circular polarizer, but for many shots like this people use a neutral density filter (I wanted the polarization so I went with the small f stop and lucked out on the low light day). I don't have a manual shutter attachment, I use the 2 second delay, it works just fine for me (the purpose is to avoid touching the camera on a slow shot). I actually don't own photoshop, I processed it in the RAW converter that came with the camera (Digital Photo Professional it is called- it is on the disk that came with your Rebel T3). That program does things 'globally' with the picture- contrast, saturation, shadows, color temp, color curve, etc. You can't do spot fixes like photoshop though.

hey, so I am going to take a picture like this with the river in the town i live in.
just to clarify on how you did this you:
had a tripod and a manual shutter attachment
had the shutter open longer (how long? how bright was it out side?"
and.. is that it? probably some touch up in photoshop?

hope you can help out (:
photo is great!
