Personality

[ STRICT ]

Aron has a taste for discipline. He won't let anyone trough his rules and his strategies, even the ones younger than him. He believes that everyone needs discipline, no matter what age and to respect the rules and deals.

[ APPROACHABLE ]

This serval may seem cold and distant at first, but the truth is that he's actually always up for help and advice, as long as the one who asked would appreciate it. No matter what the case may be, small or big, Aron is the cat who won't turn anyone down.

[ DETERMINED ]

Once Aron sets his mind on something, there's no turning him back. Before he sets something in stone, he had a long history of thinking and barging whether or not he should decide this or that.

Being direct builds up most of his character. He is brutally honest, no matter who he's having a dialogue with.

Beneath all that firm talk and determination, Aron is generally very nice and a good company when others get to know him. It's very hard to pierce trough his invisible armor, but when they do, they got themselves a best friend.

History
Aron was born as a son to Caius and Decima, shortly before his father's death. At first he was auctioned off when he was barely 4 months and won over by a rich family near Massilia. Regardless of his parting with his parents at such a young age, barely remembering their appearance, Aron liked his stay with the humans. He thought that his life couldn't get any better. Once the family moved in Massilia, they had little time for Aron and even less attention to give him. Aron was mostly beside them as a pet when they'd had some business to take care of. Being on a leash almost all of the time, he rarely had time to interact with the other cats in his surrounding. Even the hunters on every corner of the city. Not to mention the cats who were just pets as he was. Because he had no attention or little interaction with anyone or anything, he started to slowly hate his life with the humans. Being dragged along for every minority, only getting food and water as attention-- it just made him sick. One time, his owners tried to drag him over with them, and Aron did what he never thought he'd do; he grew aggressive towards humans. With one clean move, he jumped and swiped his claws against the humans face, blinding them on just one eye. The Roman authorities saw this and caged the dark pelted serval before he could blink. Aron was in shackles and chains all that time, grieving. He wished he could've ran away when he was unleashed. That fate had different plans for him. He had no idea what was going to happen to him now. He was transported swiftly to the capital of the Empire, Rome and placed into underground cages. Thankfully, there were some other cats there, and they explained to him that these were the pits. The pits where they'd rest until the battles of the coliseum. Most of these cats were bred fighters, then some were there because of their aggressive interaction, like a cat Aron liked in particular; another serval by the name of Mabel. She was placed there by her previous owners in hopes of getting some money off her, but she was no fighter. She was a gentle spirit. Mabel was the cat Aron mostly interacted, and helped her hide or avoid her fights and fought instead. He was inexperienced, but fight by fight, he'd gain more experience. He was planning his next battle for the most of his free time, and aside from resting and healing, he'd learn from other cats located there. He'd learn about how all this worked and how his strategies would improve. With his newly found experience, Aron finished his battles swiftly, but with a heavy heart. He gained more time with Mabel and the two grew fond of each other. It was the only light in those dreadful pits. Mabel and Aron became mates over their time in the pits, and had cubs soon enough. It was the sweetest moment Aron ever experienced. Mabel and his newborn son and daughter made his sinful heart grow soft. It made him remember the precious things in life and that he must never lose sight of them. The humans eventually acknowledged this, taking the four cats out of the pits and somewhere safe and warm so their cubs could be taken care of. Mabel was the one to name them; Niam and Minerva. Niam, Minerva and his family had a well life from then. At some point when they weren't looking, Minerva ran away from them because of a reason never explained to them. Once Niam was 5 months old, his parents took the chance and tried to escape the humans. Because of his experience and knowledge of Rome, Aron knew all the routes that led in and out. He made way with his family, sneaking out in the middle of the night. Just as they were about to have a clear heading, without any guards or walls, Aron stopped dead in his tracks to see an aggressive human following him and his family. He told Mabel to run. To take their son somewhere safe and never look back. It was hard for her to leave him, but she had no choice. With her, Minerva and Niam gone, he managed to stall the human for awhile, outwitting the clumsy swings of his pole and doing what he once did before; blinding them. The human's screams echoed trough the town and alarmed the entire sector, getting out both the guards and their hunters. Aron wasn't gonna let history repeat itself, turning around as quickly as he could and dashing out of the city. He didn't go in the direction where Mable took off with Niam, but led them away from their trail. Once he got his own safety secured, and the guards went away, he made his way towards the scents of his mate and cub, but soon found that their paths differed. Surely Mable left him somewhere safe, so to make sure she was safe, he followed her scent. Surprisingly enough, it was leading back to the city. Oh no... Surely, she hasn't gone back to look for him? Aron let his long, lanky legs carry him as fast as they could, closer and closer to his scent. He prayed and prayed she would be fine. As soon as he was about to turn a corner, he saw Mabel captured and beaten up. Maybe even some of her bones were broken. Aron hid behind the outer surfaces of the walls. There were too many guards and hunters there. Barging to save her would just kill them both. Aron was thankful that she was still alive, but devastated by the thoughts of her possible future. Heartbroken, he turned away. He knew Niam was somewhere safe because... Mabel would never leave him in danger. Hell, she couldn't rest her mind until she made sure her mate was okay... Poor thing. Aron wandered around the area, barely surviving until he pawed on the territory of Ferox. He was accepted as a strategist due to his experience. He was offered the rank of a falcon, but... Remembering what fighting brought him, he refused. His life needed to gain balance and peace again. His thoughts echoed of Niam and Mabel. What happened to them? Was Mabel alive? Was Niam somewhere safe and taken care of? He wasn't sure, but he had a hunch that they were both okay. Call it a hunch.
