So it's been a while since I've drawn Rainshadow, I really miss it, I really miss her...it's been 3 years now since I decided she was no longer my fursona and since then I've neglected her. She's still a huge part of me, a bigger part of me than Larka I'd like to say. Lately I've been highly nostalgic and for good reason, I've realized that something is missing, something is unfinished, I'm not sure what. My art has changed a lot, and I can't say I'm happy with that, all the commissions I've been doing have distracted me and have pulled me away from the real reason why I draw art. Now a days when I draw there's no emotion in it, I don't feel like it's part of me anymore, not like how it was when I would draw Rainshadow.
Rainshadow is still my muse and always will be, and I will never stop drawing her and she will always be a huge part of me. So here's a little gift, reminding you all that she is not gone and forgotten.

The colors are nice, but the anatomy is so rough on this piece that it detracts from the overall.
Her body is a little short, and her front left paw is...I don't even really know. There should not be a joint there where the stripes are--it should be lower down her leg. Also, her right ear seems to be much higher than the left.
Not trying to be mean here, just trying to give some constructive crit.

christ Allie, i love this so fucking much ;_; it makes me so happy whenever you draw Rainshadow haha, it brings back so many great memories and is really nostalgic for me to see too! plus she's still one of my fav characters ever, she's absolutely gorgeous <3
and speaking of gorgeous.... damn. you have really got a hand for colouring with markers. do it moar, SRSLY. @__@

what a beautiful drawing, im so impressed at how chu have colored this so well, i can't tell whether chu have used water colors or markers. but it doesn't matter, i can really feel the emotion in this piece. her expression, the colors, the pose, everything chu've done such a wonderful job in bring out the emotion.

I really like this one a lot. Really different from your more recent art like you've said. I like seeing this kind of art. Yes good style is always good, but emotion behind art makes it more... wanting? Desirable? Seeing more art like this by you would be great

Yeah I see how that can effect your style. Almost like my writing, somethings for the better some things for the worst though in my case. I think sticking to one's own style is what one needs to keep in mind as to not lose what originally drove them to the point where they started doing things and people enjoyed seeing it. I haven't watched your art from the start because I never really started to look through art until only several years ago. I'm discovering more artists and seeing so many unique styles that make me realize each person has their way of doing things.
Being able to realize these things though is great, you know the reason and you can fix it if you'd like. Each artist I've seen that has drawn art that touches me, helps me realize more of who I am and what I'm really like and what I truly enjoy in life.
