Alternate map using the official USGS Projection

Established in 1969 along with the other 12 United States Commonwealths, the New England Commonwealth was the second smallest Commonwealth by land area. Its capital was located in Boston, which was also the largest city within New England. Comprised of the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont, New England was by all accounts the most politically united Commonwealth.
