Description
Established in 1969 along with the other 12 United States Commonwealths, the Mississippi Commonwealth covered the lower Mississippi River Basin and neighboring areas. Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee were all members of the Mississippi Commonwealth. Contrary to speculation before the war, the commonwealth was named for the river, not the state. A staunchly conservative commonwealth, Mississippi formed what was known as the Dixie Bloc the Southeast and Texas Commonwealths. The Commonwealths of the Dixie Bloc managed to stretch the battle for civil rights until 1982 when the Supreme Court struck down segregation laws. Mississippi's capital was Jackson, with Nashville, New Orleans, and Memphis comprising its major urban centres.The Fallout Franchise is owned by ZeniMax Media Inc.
