Description
Established in 1969 along with the other 12 United States Commonwealths, the Southeast Commonwealth was notably home to the US Space Program. Comprised of both Carolina's, Georgia, and Florida the Southeast was a member of the so called "Dixie Bloc" along with Mississippi and Texas. Though not as active as the former the Southeast Commonwealth was resistant to civil rights reform throughout the 1970s, that of course ended in 1982 when Mississippi's Segregation laws were ruled unlawful. Demographic changes in the early 21st Century would progressively pull the Southeast Commonwealth further away from the Dixie Bloc until the 2028 US Election when liberal candidates achieved a clean sweep of the Southeast.

Not much is known of the state of the Southeast after the Great War.
