Description Another Madelyne picture (I love Madelyne).

Stupid Scott left her and their baby to run back to saint Jean Grey's arms.

She tried her best to be a good person when everything was against her, even her own existence, and could have made it if not for Scott's selfishness.

In the end, when she gives in to Darkness, who can really blame her?

This pic was inspired by David Bowie's "Within you".

The X-Men, X-Factor, the Goblin Queen, and Inferno are trademarked, copyrighted and/ or registered by Marvel Comics.

Here are more Madelyne Pryor pictures:

How you turned my world, you precious thing,
you starve and near exhaust me;
everything I've done, I've done for you,
I move the stars for no one.

You've run so long, you've run so far,
your eyes can be so cruel
just as I can be so cruel
though I do believe in you, yes, I do.

Live without the sunlight,
love without your heartbeat,
I, I can't live within you...
I can't live within you.

Madelyne should get more love, don't you think?

Yeah, Marvel tried to demonize with the whole "Red Queen" arc. She really should have a bigger and more positive, or at least neutral role in the new arcs, especially with Hope around and Phoenix returning. I would love to see her interact with Hope, as they have a connection through Cable.

That's true. She is her adoptive grandmother.

I think that that would be a very great storyline, it could Madelyne finally her deserved redemenption, and peace of mind. Maddy wasn't never even a trully evil person. During Inferno her mind shattered from getting to know to much, in much to short time.
She also was under Demonic influence(it may have even be a shard of dark Phoenix that awakened in her, even the Goblin force somehow influencing her). Before inferno She really cared about Cable/Nathan. Interesting if Hope know anything about her grandmother. Also Hope was born in Alaska, the same place where Madelyne thought she was born. Her assumed birth mother name is Louise Spalding, Madelyne is partially based on Louise Simonson [link] , interesting connection indeed...

I think Hope's links to Cyclops and Jean were done on purpose since her creation. But I had not thought about the Weezie connection. It would be cool if they indeed did it because of her.

Sad, 'cause the situation was family, being a husband and father...

This is beautiful and fits so well with one of my favourie Maddy quotes: "All that I am has turned to hate and the dagger I have raised will tear open Heavens heart." Did you know she's coming back?

I didn't!

Will it be the real her? Even psionic energy her?

I really liked how she appeared during The Twelve to protect her family. I want it to be really her and not "Queen Madelyne" who ended up being someone else...

I've been kind of more into Avengers lately (I still keep buying X-Men), but since a couple of years ago (around Decimation) it seemed as if every writer wanted to come up with a very high profile story, but having them all at the same time made them feel less high profile.

Apocalypse returned in a big way, and I never felt like the other times he had attacked (I loved the Twelve, because everything felt like it was falling into place for some time, not just suddenly). Hated the newly-created Neo wannabes (I liked the Neo, who were unfairly not given a chance) with awful "Spanish" (I think it was intended to be Spanish, even though it really wasn't), but everyone seemed to love that arc...

I did like some parts of the story with Pan and all that, but it all felt like too much happened at the same time on the different X-Titles.

I love X-Factor and I liked the story on X-Men - Civil War and WWH.

I have some problems with Sinister's "death" caused by Rogue's touch, because it's been seen before that Sinister's persona is so strong that Rogue would actually become him. Of course, we could argue Rogue's powers are different since Pan, so that could still work.

I'll have to re-read everything more calmly now, to see if I can find parts to like it more.

Darkchylde7 In reply to Cesar-Hernandez [2008-10-21 16:15:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah the lower profile stories are usually gems. Anything by Craig Kyle and Chris Yost is amazing though! I have trouble believing that Sinister is actually dead. Magik is back, Madelyne is coming back, Infernus (the Inferno sequal) is out in December. Sinister was the third big player in Inferno, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Even anything where they kill all the students just 'cause? I didn't like that part... I do like the fact they use Nimrod, Selene and other classics, but I don't like the fact they had to kill the kids... It may not even be their fault, mind you, but an order... Anyway, it was those two who did it...

If there's Infernus, there should be Kitty Pryde! She is linked to all this and deserves an appearance!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Darkchylde7 In reply to Cesar-Hernandez [2008-10-21 18:34:14 +0000 UTC]

The stories were suffering because the cast was far, far too big. So it was a good thing that they killed off the students. They used it in the rest of the run, they didn't just forget about them. And most of those kids were boring anyway! No idea where Kitty even is right now!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Cesar-Hernandez In reply to Darkchylde7 [2008-10-21 19:37:33 +0000 UTC]

I liked the school feeling I got on that title. I understand wanting to get rid of a large cast, but having them all killed was too drastic and kind of too much "shock value" in an age when deaths are the most common thing to do (not too much shocking as to counter the loss of so many characters, some of whom had a fairly large fandom).

I liked the idea of rotating the focus on different squads in the future, but that will never come to happen now...

Last I saw Kitty, she was in space (I'll avoid spoilers, but check Astonishing X-Men).

I read it, but I wasn't sure you had Even after the bus going all splodey the focus still rotated amongthe lesser known kids. Quest for Magik is a great example

That's true. I like calmer stories as well, though, not ones in constant bad-guy battles (there can be great stories with interpersonal relationships, as well, even if not a single punch is thrown).

Back when Inu-Yasha's comic was new I was about to buy it, but didn't 'cause I had no money.

Then, when the cartoon came out, I didn't have time to watch it, and kinda didn't want to, because everyone was a "fan", and it seemed less special because of that...

But I'm sure it rules, anyway.
