My theory is this Boris was grabbed by the Ink Demon, and like an infected limb Allison took it upon herself to slice Boris' arm to him free from the Demon's inky grasp. Losing a limb is probably a much better fate than falling prey to the Ink Demon of Joey Drew's Studio. But it's a theory.
