Description
Here's my interpretation of a Galactus type of creature. He moves from solar system to solar system gathering suns. The heat helps warm his freezing insides. Image took about 5-6 hours.Related content

great work... very beautiful and creative... the model is great, i only think the background star field can be more visible and defined... if you can do that your pic will be in 3d most favorited for sure o_ob

Impressing stuff, I really dig the textures on his body! He looks very mythological! And I feel sorry for the poor ppl who lose their suns. Do he burn them out or what? (Hope he's not coming here!!)

Postrendering work included adding extra texture to the sun, adding the smoking fumes, and inserting the background. Not too bad...

Thats just brilliant! Well done!
However!
The sun hes carrying on his back is the most obvious source of light in the picture, but around the wrist and inner-elbow you've added shading which shouldn't be there.
Also, suns are *really* bright, so you shouldn't be afraid to have a heavy white shine on the edges of the arm.
Again, love the concept and the design. I still think its worthy of a fav.

Nice eye, I was kinda waiting for someone to say something about that. I know it goes against physics, but i did that on purpose as an experiment. I'll go over it with a highlighting tool tonight and see where it takes me.

Technically it COULD work if there was an even greater light source, but it'd have to be pretty bright.

I wanted to keep things darker than they normally would be. Particularly b/c I see him as a very dark, cold figure. I also figured anything that close to a sun might be washed out from the bright light. Don't know if that's necessarily true though....

Maybe since he's already touching the sun he's sucking the energy out of it and messing up the nuclear reactions- or all the previously consumed stars in him continue to burn and we're looking at a bright sun and a bright creature but with dark sunglasses on...
