Description
These are the blueprints of the Perseus class experimental Assault Carrier.I'm not sure if I will put this ship in my mod. I'd like some opinions. Tell me what you think!

After playing halo wars, the deck guns give me an idea of roughly how long the ship is; about 3.5 km to four km?

Really? Sirit of Fire is listed as being 2.5km and the Trafalgar (supercarrier) was described as being nearly 3 km; just for sake of discussion.

I don't know where you got that from, but they never mentioned a size for the supercarrier; I checked

I have the Halo Encyclopedia. It includes all halo information before the announcement of Halo Reach. Helps me in writing my fan-fic (not listed on this site).

Yes, as a matter of fact I already did that. Right now I'm first texturing a different model and once that's done I'll upload both of them here.

Are the turrets for defense against fighters and bombers or are they used to fight other ships?

The turrets are for ship to ship combat as they're much too large to target smaller ships such as fighters and bombers.

Cool, good too see the UNSC having ship to ship weaponry where they don't have to swing the entire ship around or have them shot down. Are they a gauss/railgun?

Yeah, they are. And for missiles you don't need to swing the entire ship around. You can just make them fly whatever way you want them to go.

Well swinging the ship around was referring to the MAC, which seemed odd that there were only 2 ship to ship weapons on UNSC ships.

Do i see turrets?? Great job on the model.. atleast what i can get from the image.. that is. I like the idea of this ship,because the only carriers ive sen so far are the supercarriers.. which will undoubtedly be hella expensive and take forever to research.. and the frigate class carriers.. which seem too small to carry a sufficient number of longswords/pelicans to really be useful.. this mid sized carrier idea sounds like a good one!

Yep, she has a lot of turrets. And I do have a normal Carrier model. Check out the Firefly class Carrier. A rather effective model in my opinion.

so if the Firefly class is the normal carrier that..well..carries stuff.. then what dos the perseus do other than carry stuff? assault stuff too?

Yep, a carrier can defend itself a little but that's it. The Perseus can also be used to attack and hold out for itself.
