So here it is. The entry to the Lighting contest. So I am fairly happy with the result, although I did run short on time. Admittedly I did start very late and just suffered from poor time management. Just designing the outfit took up all of my time. I wanted to try out different poses to add to the composition as well as designing a gun blade for her weapon. Right now it just looks like a magnum with a very, VERY, long barrel in that scabbard. But oh well, It least I am in the contest, which is better than nothing. My inspiration was military uniforms, although highly stylized. Of course my first instinct was to go with a Steampunk Lighting design, much like my last Final Fantasy image , but in the end I felt that I should go for something that fit the character and her world a little bit more. I couldn't see Lighting hanging out in Victorian London.
