More GW-related work. Just toying around with a scene involving one of the Elder Dragons from GW2. The setting is at the Xaquang Skyway, high above the roofs and slums of Kaineng City.Related content

Wow, you really captured the "essence" of the rooftops, The textures are spot on. I LOVE the dragon and the Canthan guard, Reaally nice work!

yeah! before reading your description about this work i said: " whaow looks like guild wars - factions loading screens " and checked, oh yeah: Kaineng City! Pretty impressive i love these colors and Kaineng City.

AhHAA! I KNEW I recognized that assortment of rooftops! And that odd architecture... I LOVED that area, it was so fasinating wandering around the streets of Kaineng City, especially with all that mist...it made you feel very small and awestruck.
Brilliant job at making it so recognizable. Even the guard looked familiar to me. X) Fantastic!

Just 3 or 4 days?!! Wow, you're truly gifted. I just checked out the others on your page. I'm new to the tablet art thing, I'm more into 3-d modelling and animation. But I've always loved to draw on paper. Seeing your stuff and all the other stuff on this site just makes me feel left out!
I'm definitely going to come up with something soon 'cos there's so much talent going around here it's hard not to get inspired.

Yeah, I'm still a new-comer to digital art and still learning. Up until this past January, I've always worked with traditional mediums. Personally, I'm glad I finally gave the tablet a try because I love it. Far less-expensive, its a breeze to store work, and much easier to work with than traditional materials.
Just try not to think of it as something entirely different from working with pencils/paint/etc. That's what usually scares a lot of people away from digital work. Approach it the same way you do other works and it'll be much easier to slip into.

Thanks for the advice. I've worked with computer graphics for some years now, so I know how great it is to be able to try out different ideas without making a mess or wasting precious art materials. But, up until last year, I'd never used a tablet, just mice. But I was just doing 3-d and photographs so it was adequate.
My non-digital art was restricted to pencil and ink drawings and I always thought I'd leave the serious business to the pros, since I don't have any formal art education. But I think I owe it to myself to find out if I could achieve some of the stuff I see people do. And The best way to learn is to learn from the best! And that's why I'm here. Thanks.
