I am learning Blender, and figure I'd chronicle what I learn in a way that hopefully helps out people who are wishing to learn Blender as well. Your mileage may vary.Any feedback is appreciated.

Many of the techniques are similar, though the interface and shortcuts might differ slightly.  You can probably nab an older version here or something - graphicall.org/?keywords=2.69 / download.blender.org/release/B⦠- or you're welcome to try to do so from the menu as usual - if you press the spacebar and search for some term that you can't see, you should be able to find it.

Well by like well I figured out how to move the camra but what im concern is how do I move my character like in the video games? And how do you add a backround?

Moving characters requires rigging and IK, and that's not stuff I'm very knowledgeable of.

As I said, I'm not very familiar with it. Β Google it or look for other tutorials; they'd probably of better help than myself.

Thanks, will probably start devoting some time to it this week. You seemed to have learned quickly

I already had some experience using 3D software before, so I knew a little about what features and tests I needed to test out first. The hardest part, in my opinion, is dealing with all the controls. Once you get the hang of it, it becomes so much easier to understand and then go off on your own.
Blender also renders...more slowly than I would have hoped for. For its price, I won't complain

I don't have any experience with creating in 3D which is my goal. I have used Daz to pose characters but that's about it. I have a high end computer, so I think I'll be OK. Thanks again

I really want to model a person. Someday I will XD I've used Daz before (years and years ago), and just feel like I'd be able to do so much more by actually modelling things. So, there's my goal for someday.
Haha, once I buy parts for a computer...soon (yay!), I probably will find new ways to make the rendering slower by trying to do even more stuff. XD Still, a jump from 1.6 to 3.4 ghz will be quite noticeable...and I look forward to it quite a bit.

I just downloaded Blender and want to experiment around with it since I can't afford to get C4D any time soon. I look forward to going through your tutorials so that I can grasp things relatively quickly. Thank you for providing this!!

I'm glad you're looking at it
I've yet to make tutorials to cover some of the stuff I've been doing recently, as well as the steps between there, but I'll do those soon. I'm glad you find it helpful!

Very, very helpful. I'm a n00b at all things 3D, and am hoping to play around with this some as I practice with some simpler programs. I will be taking notes from these tutorials

Sweet If you have any questions or comments regarding any of the tutorials or even material not on them, I'd be more than happy to try to answer them.
I'm glad you find this useful; it makes me happy when I can help someone out. Anyways, I don't know why I'm still up this late [I seriously should try to go to sleep before 2 AM -_-;], so I'm gonna call it a night XD
