Description
Part of my A Link Across Time project.I didn't want to have to update the other sheets to include additional (minorish) characters, so I made yet another sheet to showcase them.
The image above is separated into the different ages, color-coded to match the other images I've already submitted. So let me introduce you to these characters:
AGE OF DAWNING: (brown)
- Levias, Guardian of the Sky. In the Age of Dawning, which is a long time before the events of Skyward Sword, who's to say that Levias isn't much, much, much younger? Here, Hiro and Hylia befriend a young wind fish that will eventually be given an important task by Her Grace to assist a future hero.
AGE OF CHAOS: (violet)
- Vaati, Great Demon of the Minish. In the Minish Cap manga, Vaati's progressive forms signify a mental degradation as well as a physical transformation, going from a Minish to the Sorceror form from Minish Cap to this form . I tried my hardest to copy the depiction found in the manga. What do you think? Oh yeah, spoilers.
AGE OF UNIFICATION: (green)
- It's Aryll! Yes, Link's sister get to be a part of this game, if but minor. In point of fact, I've decided to rewrite the basic story of this project so that Link has a full family - something he doesn't get often in the games! Aryll likes following Link around on his shenanigans, which oftentimes gets him in trouble with his parents for getting his sister into danger.
- Link's mother, whom I have named Jenna for no particular reason. She's kind yet firm with her children. She wants Aryll to grow up to be a lady of education, and takes no small measures to teach her from books. Aryll doesn't particularly like her education, but she likes the stories she reads.
- Link's father, Saulo. He insists on having his boys Link and Kafei (retcon: I made Link and Kafei brothers, with Kafei the older of the two) learn the family trade of smithing, something that Kafei isn't particularly excited about. Saulo can be overbearing at times, but he always means well. When Link comes back from helping Zelda on her peacekeeping tour, Saulo begins to be a bit more accepting of Link's adventurous nature. In fact, it changes a lot of things in this household.
AGE OF CIVIL WAR: (gray)
- Aryll, 8 years later. She's now a mid-teen and has to take care of her parents while Link and Kafei are each away. When the army of shadows appears on the horizon and Hyrule sets itself to a wartime mindset, Aryll offers to use her education to help the Princess Zelda in any way she can. It amazes her parents that she is the only one of her siblings that has taken up the family business while Link becomes a soldier and Kafei a magister.
AGE OF SKYRULE: (blue)
- Impax, housekeeper of the Hyrulean Royal Family. Before she had this job, she was a professional body builder, training with Gorons and even besting them in sumo wrestling at times! She carries with her an ancient Flaming Naginata, which can extend, fold up, and detach to become a set of nunchucks for when her strength isn't enough.
- Veran, Sorceress of Shadows. She is one of Agahnim's compatriots, and is (of course) the one responsible for taking Nayru, the Oracle of Ages, into the past, in order to remove the advantage that she can give Skyrule for the upcoming war. However, it is in the Age of Chaos that Veran's true motive is revealed, as she begins to craft a powerful item that could oppose any magic the Light World denizens could muster.
AGE OF DARKNESS: (red)
- Kasandura, Atris's daughter and Kasuto's mother. Known to be one of the original Resistance leaders in the fight against the Evil King, and a courageous warrior. Declared missing many years ago, and the Resistance hasn't been able to find her since. In memory of her, and to help her return to the fight, the Resistance decided to begin wearing red garbs to match her. In a sense, then, she is a symbol of the Resistance.
- Saurie the Helmasaur. A denizen of the Evil King's forces. His rider (not pictured, design incomplete as of yet) has a habit of passively-aggressively controlling him, and he faithfully obeys. His modified visor helps him scout out Resistance members and he chases them down like a bloodhound.
- Kivyo, a cursed Hylian in the form of an Octorok. In this form, he helps the heroes, albeit timidly, with information about the Evil King's actions. At one point, he gives shelter to some Resistance members, but due to his lack of courage he shoos them out and gives them to Kasuto to transport them "elsewhere" before he can get caught by the Evil King's police force.
