My first entry for a Sonic the Hedgehog / Chrono Trigger crossover. Cross of E-102 Gamma and Robo.

When I first saw the character Robo while playing Chrono Trigger (very recently), I noticed striking similarities between that futuristic R-Series robot and Eggman's frog-napping creation. (Seriously, look up their official art and tell me they can't be related.) That got me thinking about a possible Sonic/Chrono crossover, so I thought ?
The name of the project, "Sonic Trigger", is particularly interesting, because... well, Sonic is the "Iblis Trigger", so... Yeah.

Obvious design characteristics from both Robo and Gamma were taken into consideration. In their official art, Robo's gun-arm is its left, but Gamma's is the right, so whatever. I first drew Gamma as best as I could, then modified it to dd some Robo characteristics, not the least of which is that steamworks engine on its back. Also, the chest and torso region are heavy Robo. I guess it'd be easier to tell if it were colored... Maybe someday.

BTW, this is the very first time I've ever drawn a mechanoid in terms of a character. What do you think?
