well thankyou for such nice words. this was actually taken while hanging out my car door as i was stuck in a traffic jam one afternoon.
always wanted to take a picture of the madness of the build up of cars but i decided to take a different look...so i went upwards. i'm very happy that you like it.

i would love to photograph you someday Sim, i'm pretty sure it would be lots of fun. I think i need lots more studio practice though before i start doing portraiture work...i'm just beginning to dabble in that side of photography. but i would give it a go.

when i find things slow going i either jump into bed or a bath....or a nightclub...one way or the other i feel better afterwards. take care.

wow nobody move that pole - the sky will fall down ! .. actually it reminds me of those weird glass tables with metal legs... they always look kinda unsafe and untrustworthy to me ! LOL!... this gives me the same feeling.. like its gonna collapse at any minute.. erm.. i DO know it isnt really holding it up.. i think ! !!!
Great shot tho .. fab angle, YUMMY sky... so clear and crisp !

I love how it looks as though there is a outlet in the sky and this pole is basically "plugging" itself in to it. Very cool Ben.

thanks for the cowboy emote. you do realize my comment had underlying sexual overtones...don't you?

haha, hmm 'fraid i missed that one, i must have been looking at the overlying sexual undertones there.
i'm now looking at my picture in a totally new light....i must have something residing deep within that my mind is straining to get out.
thanks for the sushi, always needed.

is it just me or is the top segment (of the lightpost, next to the light) bent? or bendy? or gay?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
chapterone In reply to toomanycontrols [2005-02-02 21:48:25 +0000 UTC]
yup definetly, the whole thing looks curved, i think it's lens warping from being at that angle. but. i could be completely wrong. the pole may just be as bent as a turkish sword! wooo

aye it does that. i was toying with that title you know...like a little cat, with a shiny wrapper, maybe from a quality street sweet or something. the more i look at this it does get a little weirder every time.

haha, strange days indeed Holly. i'm very complimented that you clicked on it without knowing who it was by. this shot is really more like a little nod to the people who create art in this style rather than a 'solid' deviation, to me its just very interesting to see how they work and apprieciate different lines and structures. thankyou once again for the lovely words, too kind.
