Description For Sparkyyy's April Speed Paint challenge fav.me/d4uo137

This image was fun and a challenge! I probably could have spent another 3 hours on it truthfully. The rocks I just sort of hinted too as it wasn't really the focus of the image. Also really tried to work on my portions and color.

Looking at it this frog has a giraffe neck and the leg in the back comes up to high on a angle. I really feel flat on getting the wetness rendering. I was running out of time at the end and of course... I left it till the end to do with only 8mins left to render. Still struggling getting my chalk pastel methods of laying down color out of my head when doing these. I certainly haven't found a good method to balance it yet. My favorite part was the eye, just came out so cute!

The tricky part on this really came to the water like spot that was on the camera lens to the right of the image and trying to work those in. I took some of the background color and blended it into the back leg to try to mimic the effect.

2hrs Photoshop CS3

Nice I like how it came out alot. The face looks quite cute haha. i also lik how you define the structures, I think your colours are great but the values should be lighter on the front of its body. The reason why the wetness isn't quite right is because you need to put a few dots of almost pure white on there to really bring the contrast out. Do like a rough textured low opacity white mark first then finish it off with a few high opacity highlights, that's how i approached it anyway, need a scatter brush really to do it properly though i think. Where's the water spot on the camera lens? I never noticed it.

"Fancy smug flamingo"?

The textures on this turned out great as always, you just need to keep a close eye on your positioning but other than that it looks good
