First off I gotta say, I love chameleons... and Pascal is adorable! His character design I adore, many because chameleons aren't the most easiest creatures to draw.

The main reason why I wanted to draw Pascal is because I know tons of kids are now going to want a cute little chameleon after seeing Tangled. ( maybe even some unaware deviants here) Chameleons are not easy to take care of. They are one of the hardest reptiles I've ever cared for and they are pure gluttons. A healthy adult chameleon will eat well over 200 crickets in a week. Every 3 to 6 months you need to be prepared to buy a 70 - 100 dollar lamp so they get the best UV's. Screen in cages, not glass are best suited for their habitat with needed a lot of extra room for them to climb on. Despite how Pascal is in the movie, chameleons are really anti social. They stress out easy so the more you hold them the more they tend to panic. Thus any kid is going to want to hold their pet and "play" with it so this really isn't a ideal pet for young children.

Chameleons are cool, you have to love that long toung and the way they hunt. I just hope baby chameleons will find a good home... and not go to someone who just wants a pet like their favorite Disney character Pascal. Please research every pet you intend to bring into your home. Make sure its a good match and that you can provide the proper care and life that animal deserves. That's what Pascal would want.
