And the final lip sync practice animation with Princess Sally! This time with post-reboot Sal! Again, this was meant to be a simple animation, very rough and I was only suppose to focus on matching the dialogue with the lips. But I started adding color and a background… because I thought it looked cooler? (I can only hope so).I'm going to add all three clips into one video and post to my youtube channel either later today or Sunday. I'll update this post with the link!

Ok, all in all its a good start. Your open/close effects with the mouth are timed near perfect with the lines, so that is great. My biggest issue I'm seeing is you are missing an important animation for your mouth. As is, you currently have just an "open" and "closed" style. You're missing an "O" style. The way your mouth moves when you say words like "you", "boy", "hole". Just taking the first word from this clip "Nicole", it should have a four part mouth animation: closed, open, O, closed. This really helps express the "cole" in Nicole.
All in all its good, but with a little more adjustment, it could be great.

Hello I am a huge fan of not just your sonic animation, but your other forms of Animation as well, and I was curious. When you draw the characters small, how do you keep your brush size from being too big when you draw. Like outlining for example. Im taking animation class this year in college and the outlining is driveing me crazy. Do you use the penicl tool or the brush tool?

I use the brush tool with the pen pressure toggled on (assuming you're working with a tablet). The only way to keep the brush size from being too large is to either change the actual brush size from large to small, or zoom in on the canvas and brush will automatically shrink. It's unusual that Flash changes the outline size of the brush according to how close you're zoomed in on the stage, but it is something you can learn to control.

Yes if its not too much trouble how do you upload your short animations, even the sketchy ones. I went online and did alot of reasearch of getting permission from DA but also saving the draft in the right file like SWF for example but DA still wont let me upload them

I haven't applied for "Video Upload" permission myself yet. But it's fairly easy to upload swf and gif files. If you're uploading a .swf, select the category Flash -> Animations.
If you'r uploading gif, select Digital art then Animation.

Oh in that case it might be my computer. I upload the SWF file but it would say no review. What can I do on that part :c
Ill figure out how to make a gif. And when I did click on Flash-> Animaations it asked for gif files.

An easy way to make a gif in Flash, go to Publish Settings, under Other Formats, select Gif Image. Make sure the Playback setting is on Animated. Then go to "Palette Type", select Adaptive and change the Max Colors to 99999.
Remember, once you upload a swf or gif file onto dA you need to add a Preview file as well. Which can be a jpeg or a much smaller gif (under or about 150x150px).

That's some tight lip syncing, and two thumbs up to Laura for her take on Sally's voice. The tone she went for is like suave and cool, yet regal. Now i'm curious about how she'd do if she was required to voice Sally in an action sequence and raise her voice.
