I was ask to make a tutorial of one designs...I choose this soldier illustration because is one of the more simplest for this reason I think would be the best to explain my way to work.
This technique has some inconvenient and some advantages.
It's not good technique to make speed paintings... but I think it could be if a good technique for beginners because you have general control of the light and the shadows.
well... This is my "basic" technique... probably not the best... but I hope that someone can learn some trick of all this

The steps are not very clear. Try to follow the numbers, not how are distributed over the picture... you know first the point 1 then the point 2 the 3, then the 4.1. then the 4.2., etc.
The point 4 and 5 are little messy, I know. Sorry :/

lol its ok, im too grateful for your effort. hmm... could you do like a tut on how to draw them aswell? If thats no prob, I want to try it for an animation project. Of course it bodes well for me if its detailed but also takes more effort
