I knew this was coming. I think we all did. When I first debuted my Gemsona, Kyanite, a lot of folks immediately began wondering when we'd see her gettin' the bizniss. She even received an ask on her Tumblr blog (which I haven't updated in a long, long while) on the subject. Well, it would seem ScaryDairy decided not to wait any longer, and reached out to me on Tumblr eager to commission me to draw exactly that. And I happily obliged! We ran into some issues a little over halfway through, but now, a little over a year since this was started, we've finally reached a conclusion!

In her ongoing efforts to establish some form of communication with other Gems, Kyanite stumbles upon a lonely little cave that appears to be inhabited. Upon delving in to investigate, she finds not a person or a creature, but another Gem, a rare Charoite! As soon as she tries to approach the Gem in peace, Charoite immediately becomes defensive, having been caught by surprise, and quickly subdues the intruder by tying her to a nearby stalagmite, demanding to know who sent her. Kyanite continues to swear she bears no allegiance to any Diamond, and only wishes to talk to the newfound Gem-- that's what Kyanites do, after all! Unfortunately for her, Charoite's trust in other Gems is next to zilch, and so she decides to employ a peculiar interrogation technique to get Kyanite spill the beans. The blue Gem's feet have never felt such a strange sensation before, and while she certainly has plenty of involuntary laughter to share, no matter what words might come out, it won't be what Charoite wants to hear. How long before she gets out of this one..?
