Phew, after many hours of work this bad boy is done. I'm gonna keep this short and sweet(or at least try to) because I have homework to do, aha, I'm such a bad student.
So this is my trade for the wonderful . She asked for Hoppip and Jumpluff as requests, so I was quite happy to draw them. I feel nostalgic drawing these guys since I had them on my team in the old days when I played Gold, and I plan on having them on my new team in HeartGold too. :3 So I hope she likes this! ^^
And finally, just wanted to give a quick thank you to my senior mentor: . Coloring this piece went much better than any previous piece thanks to the tips and techniques she's shown me, so I hope to keep improving under her wonderful tutelage. Next, I really hope to finish that Highschool Adam piece. I'm so neglectful towards him. T_T

Pfft, lol, that Jumpluff in front, what a ham.
[Edit] So uh...because I'm apparently blind, I totally forgot that there was supposed to be a theme for this Pokeswap, which was unluckiness. So why is this picture unlucky? Because all of the Skiploom got eaten by a wild Tyranitar! And the wild Tyranitar is going to eat all of the Hoppip and Jumpluff next!
The poor fools, while they dance happily they're soon going to be some big dinosaur's dinner. And thar ya go, my horribly made up excuse for why this is unlucky, fail. OTL

This is coming along very well! Even though you still have work to do in ways of shading, the image has a lot of life already. I like how you did the lines of the Jumpluffs' cotton.
My only critique would be that it's missing some Skiploom, but it's not big deal.

I would've added some Skiploom, but the girl who requested this piece only asked for Hoppip and Jumpluff, so uh...all of the Skiploom flew away because they wanted to party by themselves. They're rather snobby.

Wow, I wasn't expecting you to finish this one so soon, to be honest. In any case, the completed piece lives up to what you previously displayed and adds a few new things, as well.
First off, great work with finishing the shading and highlighting for this image. The multiple shades and highlights are well-presented, and there are some areas where the softening of the colors really look nice. Furthermore, I like what you've done by making the hills grassy and adding some spores to the image, giving an already festive looking image some additional care towards the end.
Being a fan of her work, I can see some of `maya-chan 's influence in the ways of coloring this image. However, more importantly, you yourself have put together something that speaks about the way you do things, and it's great to see. You've definitely put a great deal of effort into this, and hopefully, you can use this as part of a stepping stone to get you where you want to go. Great work all around, really!

I was on a time limit for this piece, so that's why I finished it so quickly. Usually artwork takes me forever, especially with school in the way.
I'm also extremely glad that my own style is coming across. I've been struggling with it a lot lately, so I'm glad it's finally reaching the point that I want it to. Again, thank you so much for these kind words and for the fav. on this piece as well. It really made my day.
