Description
Here's a complete lineart of my character Blitz and his most recent revision. It was again, drawn and then 'inked' using Sketchbook. =]I plan to use it sortof as an orthographic reference for modelling him in 3d.
I have not decided on a definite color scheme for him. In fact, I haven't even had the chance to try any, so if any of you guys are interested in coloring this in, by all means, you're welcome to it! I was thinking a traditional grizzly brown for his fur, and then navy blue, gray, light brown and worn silver/chrome with highlights of yellow for his outfit. I'll give it a shot myself later on.
Enjoy! *bows*

Hahah, actually yeah this would be a nice one to take on. It would be a good way to experiment with sculpting fur flow/direction. I was planning to do a female sculpt after Dack (which is very close to being done), Probably Aida since she has nice flowing robes I can practice with, but after that maybe this one would be good. =]

Yes, that's the one. Same sculpt I was working on last time we were at the studio. XD
Alternatively I can try sculpting and detailing digitally. There's an updated version of Zbrush to be released in the next few weeks . I'm currently working on a system/workflow that leverages pre-exisiting topology, which will makes it much easier to sculpt out models without as much setup time invested.

Every time I see that, it looks like he's holding a flower...

I was considering making him a polar bear but I decided to save that species for another character I may be working on. Polar bears tend to be bigger than Grizzly bears, so I figure I could use that fact to experiment with proportions further. =]
Funny you should mention Mobius. The intent of the current look was to move away from the typical 'Sonic style' height and body form. Looking at the many characters people have done over the years, it seems to be doing injustice to squeeze such a large animal into a 3-5 foot skinny body frame. Lions, Tigers, Bears? Those kinds of animals are meant to be big! Seeing them them as the same height as a rabbit or fox seems somewhat out of place, don't you agree? XDD
Whether that breaks the standard, I don't know. But I can safely say that he's not a typical 'Mobian', if one at all. XD

One question you a fan of the American Comics or the games becasue Archie has done a good job with some of the chearecters like one of the wolves from wolf pack stands almost double the hight and some of the bear guards depending on the artist are also much larger then the other charecters.

ah, I unfortunately don't follow the Archie comics much, but that's good to know. Thanks for sharing that with me. =]

I imagined him a sort of dirty yellow. I'll print that and color it, just to see what I can come up with.

MAKE HIM PINK. BRIGHT PINK, WITH NEON YELLOW, AND SPARKLES. LOTS OF SPARKLES.
All joking aside, I love the detail on this! You're very good with muscles. X3 I can't wait to see him in 3D. With your skills, it'll turn out awesome, I just know it.

Heheh thanks for the feedback and encouragement. =3
It's kinda funny how certain things stick. I rarely draw muscles nowadays and yet it somehow comes pretty naturally to me. Pectoralis major, sternal mastoid, deltoids, biceps, triceps...; I suppose all the anatomy/physiology/biology studies back in high school come in handy for many unexpected applications. XDD
Anyway, I also look forward to seeing if this thing extends to the 3d realm as well. We'll just have to see. =] *bows*

Well, simply knowing where something goes is a big step to drawing it. I mean, pretty much everyone knows where their face is, which is why most people can draw one, whether it be a simple smiley face or a professional portrait. :> So I can definitely see how those classes would've helped!

You're going to try to model him? Good Luck. I got ZBrush from school, I'll be trying that... when I get the time. ^_^;
