Oh! That's very useful, not just for coloring Ed, but for coloring any character who happens to have blonde hair.

I don't even have pens at all and I'm forced to use rathed aged colored pencils to color, which I rarely do because that always looks like crap>.<
But besides that..when I finally get my hands on some pens, I will definately keep your instructions in mind because I suck at coloring, but love drawing edo<3

I use prisamcolors, as well as numerous other brands.. (copic....tombo...faber-castell)

in that case, allow me to recommend the folowing color choices...

E00- Skin White
E34- Orientale
E53- Raw Silk
R02- Flesh
Prismacolor Brand:
PM-12 Light Peach
PM-70 Sand
PM-61 Dark Umber
TOMBO Brand:
#812 Tan Flesh
*850 Pinkish White
***** If you still find your color to be too orange, ....try toning them down with the color channel mixer in Photoshop.

Gaagh, such a wonderful tutorial. It really is helpfull. Do you use india ink for the lineart? I wouldn't know any other way to get the pen to drag into the marker.

So that's how you really do it? Wow, never thought you would need so many colours to do his hair. And the whole dragging the black to make shadings was an excelent idea! I bet the finished one looks great!

This makes coloring seem a lot easier! I finally have some good markers to color with and I've been practicing with them, but nothing has come out like I want it to.

Wow! This is really helpful- I don't think I've seen many marker tutorials, and this one is nice and basic, and yet complete at the same time. I'll add this to my favorites, and try out a few marker pictures later on. Thanks for the tips!

well..i am current rocking with a ZIG: Millenium .35mm
i have been doing all my linearts with this.....and doing touchups and thicker lines with a faber castell pure black superfine tip.
