I have finally seen the movie Frozen, and I love it, and what I also love, and might even love more than the movie itself it the artworks, concept art and fan art of Frozen.

I even have the artbook “The Art of Frozen”

I have also been collecting a lot of the Frozen ( especially Elsa ) fan art here on DeviantArt. And then I decided I wanted to draw fan art to.

However there’s already so much gorgeous art of Elsa out there that it wouldn't feel right to just draw her as she appears in the movie too, it's hard to make it original and I would end up constantly comparing my art to others.

So after also looking through “The art of Frozen” again, I decided to give myself a different kind of challenge, instead of trying to make a unique artwork featuring Elsa the way she has probably been drawn a million times by now, I wanted to draw as she appears in the concept art.

Anyway, I had a great time working on this, and it was a very nice challenge.

It was also interesting to look for art of Elsa in this look, it turns out there’s actually still quite a lot of art of her looking like this.
