Description I don't really know what to title this. Nor have I ever made a tutorial before (at least not properly). Be nice to me. qAq

I don't have a scanner, so I take photos of everything I draw and then touch them up in Photoshop before I upload them to dA. I've used this method on even some of my most popular deviations, and while scanners make the job easier, I like the turnout when I can (and have to) manipulate my pictures.

This is only a tutorial for digitizing linearts when I don't feel like going over my pencils with a mouse (and I really hate doing that, so even though this method is a pain in the ass, I prefer it.)

Anyway I hope I covered any and all bases. If you have any questions don't be afraid to comment! Having never done a tutorial before, I might not have come off as very clear.

Some of my art that I've done using this method:

Will this also work with a couple of old pencil drawings?

If they're shaded, the steps become slightly different, because the Levels tool will make shading look really, really bad. However if the pencils are pretty tight lines (or you use stippling or crosshatching for shading), it should work just fine.

When your only tool is a camera you have to come up with ninja tricks to make things look displayable. xD If you try it, show me how it goes!
