Tutorial - ChibiEdo's Drawing Tutorial Part 2 - ColouringBIG FILE WARNING.. I hope it's ok. If you really have trouble with it I'll split it into two parts..
I finally decided to finish this. It took me 2 days and me going to sleep much too late so I could finish it today.. I hope you like it! It's a description on how I colour my TC game pictures + little general SAI hints I use. If you have questions feel free to ask.

well if you have huge trouble with drawing you could copy a picture you like^^ While paying close attention to shapes and proportions. (like hmm how big is the head compared to the rest of the body? how long is the neck? stuff like that) This helps to get a better feeling for faces and body shapes. I still use refs (or rather again) because I'm at a stage now where I can only improve if I take a look at real anatomy. Feet and hands are my biggest focus at the moment.

Tolles Tutorial, auch wenn ich mir die Schritte als nicht SAI Auskenner nochmal genauer ansehen muss. Mir gefällt die Art, wie du einfach mit bisschen kompliziert kombinierst:
z.B.: die Haare grundtonen mit einem Gradient und dann noch Akzente setzen und hervor heben mit einzelnen Haarsträhnen einzeichnen.
Mir hats sehr gut gefallen <3

Aww danke sehr! Ja ich bezeichne das hier auch als meine 'simplere' echte colo.. meine anderen 2 haupttechniken sind wesentlich aufwändiger.. vielleicht mach ich da auch irgendwann mal ein Tutorial.. das eine ist nur Photoshop. Ich bin auch am überlegen ein paar generelle SAI tipps zusammen zu schreiben... also was ich so verwende und so.. Dann hab ich noch überlegt ob ich was über clipping layer vs masks mach...XD ich hab nämlich ne weile rumgespielt bevor ich für mich rausgefunden hab wann ich was sinnvoller find..
Vielleicht magst du ja mal testen~ SAI macht spaß~ außerdem bin ich neugierig ob man mit dem tutorial klar kommt..

Oha simplere, aber sehr effektive Colo, das muss man schon sagen XD

Aber ich denke, es ist sinnvoll, bestimmte Themen in eigenen Tutorials abzuarbeiten, also, würde ich mich zumindest freuen XD

aw but you have a cute drawing style as well! You can get the same effect with photoshop by the way.. if you learn how to use the photoshop pen tool (which is a vector tool) you can even colour like this without a tablet

Mit für die beiden Bilde rhabe ich auch etwa so lange gebracuht (jeweils eins)

oh! and by the way... may I ask how you make your cute icons or the name of the program that you use?

I draw them in SAI and put a lot of stuff into different folders. Each frame that will be animated has to be inside an extra folder. (or rathar parts of a frame.. for example the opened eyes in one folder, half closed in another, closed in another and always with colour. I save them as .psd
Then I animate them in photoshop.
Window -> Animation should reveal the animation timeline at the bottom if it isn't visible directly..(which is standard I think.. ). I know it works in CS2 and above, not sure about lower photoshop versions.

I always admired your coloring abilities. They seem so smooth.
Not to mention I love the picture you used as an example; I saw the finished deviation and thought it looked fabulous. :3

Could hardly tell, it came out fantastically! 8D There isn't much I don't like about your art style, to be honest. :3 Since the beginning, I thought all of your drawings had this really nice charm to them that slowly evolved as time went by. They're very cute, but can still be taken seriously when need be. I always admired that. ^^

Aww vielen Dank~ Hast du SAI? Mit Photoshop geht es zwar auch ähnlich aber funktioniert nicht exakt gleich. Falls du es mal ausprobierst würd ich mich freuen wenn du mein tutorial linkst und mir das Bild zeigst~
