Truth be told, I actually like Smokescreen, though I am growing a little tired of his childish enthusiasm. Maybe I'm just jealous that the new Autobot has gotten almost twice as much screentime in the last four episodes than poor Dreadwing, who finally got to do something in "Alpha; Omega". And it's about damn time, too. How can you make a character like him and then NOT use him?Anyway, was looking forward to seeing the short promo for next week's episode, "Hard Knocks", and guess who got more screentime than the characters in the description? Yeah, yeah, I know, first world problems, whining about Smokey hogging up screen time, blah blah blah. Anyways, this comic came to mind... had to do it.
Might draw some Smokescreen later. I really do like the guy, but I could use a break, even if it's one episode.

"Speed Metal" - Had a lot of KO in it, but was really about Jack trying to impress Sierra.

This one? Likely going to be involving Smokescreen, once again, finding some random, but awesome, way of screwing the badguys over at the last minute, maybe more Arcee/Smokescreen hints as well.

The creators have given us a lot with K.O. Especially with "Human Factor". I just cant wait till K.O. gets a chance to dissect Arachnid too...

I was so excited when I read the description, but IT'S IS RIDICULOUS how much screen time they are giving Smokescreen. Then again, they are showing WAY more Decepticon screen time then the rest of this season or the first season.... I still agree with you.
Anywho, excuse my rant, I LOVE THIS PICTURE!!!!!!!!!! I love KnockOut and his expressions and everything else! May I print this off to put on my wall of stuff? Only my absolute favorite pictures get to go up there.

Yeah, for all my petty gripes, Season Two has definitely been better for the Decepticons than Season One, though I guess it's foolish of me to want more of them, considering they're the bad guys and we, the mindless drones, are suppose to boo them.
Excuse me if the writers made the 'Cons more interesting! If they didn't want us to like them, they should have tried harder to make them more evil, two dimenional or annoying. Sheesh.

Hey, how was Alpha, Omega? My DVR is screwing around and I missed it last night. Smokescreen is a bit annoying with his maturity level, and KO should get some focus. I'd love to see the feels.

Honestly? Not that bad, except whoever's writing this episode and last week's seem to have Starscream and Megatron confused. There are just a few things that seem... out of character... for Megatron.
"Drop the mountain on him."
That just didn't scream very Megatron to me.
Another issue I had with "Alpha, Omega" is that while they FINALLY use Dreadwing again, his dialogue seems hammfisted, like it's been so long since the viewer has seen the character that they assumed we all needed a reminder as to who he was and what his motivation is ("avenge my spark twin" this and "honor" that, really felt more like a reminder than it coming out naturally). Also, the hint of Smokescreen/Arcee is about as subtle as a brick to the face, though it baffles me that when they think Smokescreen is dead, NO ONE GOES TO CHECK ON HIM, nor do they try to track down his energon signature (which we know Ratchet can do, and has done before).
Really, the writing seems REALLY lazy, especially compared to "The Human Factor". It's still nice to see for the action, but god, there were a lot of facepalm worthy moments.

Ah. hopefully Comcast will get my DVR working soon. And it's the writer's fault if we haven't seen Dreadwing in a while, well, because they haven't shown him alot. And yeah, "Drop the mountain on him" doesn't seem Megatron-ish. And I don't think anything can really top "The Human Factor." I'm looking forward to Hard Knocks. Alot.. Because I'd like to see more KO, considering he's lost Breakdown, and well, since "The Human Factor", he deserves some examining for those feels all the fans felt.
And yes, Smokescreen/Arcee fits your metaphor about subtlety. And Ratchet is perfectly capable of checking an energon signature. To be honest, I don't know what the writers are trying to pull with that.

Hahaha, it's okay. Normally I spend a few hours ranting with my roommate but she had to leave right after the show to take care of some family business so I felt the need to rant here.
It's just lazy writing. They could have easily turned on the console, found his energy signature was still online, and thus rendered the 'reveal' of that ending completely and utterly useless.
But noooo, we had to pretend we were complete IDIOTS and subscribe to the notion that he might have been 'dead' (which if you read the episode descriptions, you'll know that's a lie).

And yeah, it really is. The lazy writing made the Autobots too lazy to turn on a console. OH, and when you say episode descriptions do you mean for Hard Knocks or Alpha;Omega? I'm hoping that lazy writing doesn't carry to Hard Knocks.

Hard Knocks. The description mentions or at least gives the impression that there will be a lot of Knock Out and Starscream focus, but of course, the promo shows one brief clip of KO, and the rest of Smokescreen and the Autobots.
Maybe the extended promo will show more Knock Out, but given how Smokey's trying to hijack the plot... we'll see. In the end, promos aren't 100% guarantee of what you're going to get and "The Human Factor" promos are proof of this, so we'll see.

Smokescree is slowly growing on me. I really didn't like him in debut episode I found him childish with a clichΓ© attitude. Knock Out will probably loose the Omega Key as you stated cause heaven forbid the Decepticons win for once. But I'm still rooting for out Decepticon medic :3

If he's going to lose the omega key, it'll probably be to Starscream, or Smokescreen will be a one-trick pony and use the Phase Shifter again to BS some excuse as to why he's so awesome.
Which he is, but come on, there are so many other relics you could use; the phase shifter trick is getting boring now. Well, for me.

Yeah, I think that's the point Hasbro was trying to make with Smokescreen. That's usually how Bumblebee is (as Hot Shot is just the name they used in place of Bumblebee when they lost the rights to him), so because Bumblebee in Prime isn't as much as like he used to be, they felt the need to throw that trait into Smokescreen.
And I still like him, but he pretty much makes Bee completely useless in team Prime. He's, essentially, the better Bumblebee.

Pfft, poor thing. I have to admit, episode after episode of Smokescreen is getting a bit repetitive, but it's quite funny how he always pops out with the fase shifter.
At least we'll get another badass Knockout in Hard knocks, it'll make for a handy distraction for the rest of the week.

What I really liked was how Arcee didn't even bother CHECKING for the guy. Nor did they think to check for his energon signature, which we know they've done before with Cliffjumper (and the 'Cons can do it too, with Breakdown).
It was almost like the characters in the show wanted him to be gone as well.

I don't hate Smokescreen, but I am getting tired of seeing his face in every episode since his arrival. Faaah. Cheers to our beloved medic, the promo excites me the most with seeing his face.

Looks interesting enough though, and they haven't disappointed us yet other than the quick cut of the MECH line. Hopefully we'll get some foreshadowing on their department as well in the next episode or two.
