Papers. Boxes. Documents. Bookshelves covered under a thick layer of dust and spiderwebs. You coughed, feeling the dusty air in your lungs. Jessie looked up at the flickering light on the ceiling. This little room must have been abandoned or forgotten about over time, it looks and smells like an old basement.
"So... We're supposed to clean up and put the documents back into order..." Jessie said, sounding just as tired and disappointed as you are. You sighed, whiping a strain of you (h/c) hair out of your face.
"What kind of order? Alphabetical or numerical?" you asked while counting the ammount of boxes that cover the ground and walls.
"I have no idea..." Jessie whispered and shrug his shoulders.
You decided to take a look at some boxes and examine whatever they're containing while Jessie put everything off the bookshelves and wiped them as clean as possible. Luckily, most of the boxes seemed to be almost empty, only containing some folders or office supplies too old to use. Your hand grabbed a few pieces of interesting looking papers. You tried to open the folders and read a little when suddenly a bunch of small, greyish pictures fell out.
"Oops..." you whispered, taking a closer look at the photos. One showed what seemed to be a very emaciated man, bending over in a very depressed position. The second photo was mostly black, with only a medieval plague mask and very focused eyes starring at the viewer. Another picture only showed an ancient computer, seemingly nothing special. You turned towards Jessie before you looked at the other pictures.
"Uhm, are these...?" you could barely finish your sentence when suddenly the young man knelt down next to you, taking some of the pictures in his own hands. He raised his eyebrows.
"Yes, those are some of the SCP's we have here at the facility. Looks like you found some old copies." he mumbled, looking at the date on the back of each photo. "Well, might as well introduce you to each other now..."
You snickered nervously at his joke. He sat down next to you and put the folders on his lap, opening the correct one for each photo.
"This is SCP-096, also called the 'Shy Guy'. Euclid. He constantly sits like this in his cell, always facing the same direction, always crooked, always whimpering." he explained as he put the photo back into the right folder.
"He looks sad..." you mumbled, unsure about how to feel. Jessie nodded.
"He does, but he is freaking scary. He killed whoever looked at his face, chasing them down where ever they were. That's why we don't use cameras in his cell anymore..."
Jessie put the folder next to him and took the next photo.
"SCP-079. Also Euclid. Don't let the innocent computer fool you, it's one manipulative bastard. Some kind of hyper Artifical Intelligence. Never give it access to the internet or our power system, it will probably use it to slowly take over the world."
Jessie grinned but you could tell that he was serious.
"Ah, 'The Statue'. SCP-173. Another Euclid. Made of stone and can only move when noone looks at it. Never blink or break eyecontact with it, or it will snap your neck. And always close the doors behind you!" he started some kind of starring contest with you but you two started laughing after a few second. Wow, he's terrible at that.
"Tsk, this creepy old man is SCP-106, but some call him 'Old Larry'. This one's a Keter and definitly deserves this titel. He can penetrade though walls and pull people in his 'pocket dimension'. If you every make contact with him, which I hope you won't, then run. Drop everything and run. And hope he won't find you."
You swallowed and looked at the photo once more. That zombie-like man looks scary as f*ck.
"Hm, SCP-035. It may look like an ordinary opera mask, but it's a Keter, so..."
"It's manipulative, deadly and can probably take over my mind?" you finished, raising an eyebrow at Jessie. He widened his eyes in surprise.
"Wow, you learn quickly. Yeah, this mask has driven people crazy, even to a point were they started to rampage whenever a professor suggested to move it somewhere else or change it's containment. Huh, looks like it's frowning right now." he noticed and put the picture back into the folder.
"What do you mean by 'frowning right now'?"
"It like to change from tragedy to comedy from time to time. And whenever it does so, all the photos, drawings and anything resembling it changes too."
You nodded slowly, your spine twitching. All those SCP's are definitly giving you the creeps. Jessie grabbed the last folder and picture.
"And last but not least: SCP-049, the 'Plague Doctor', another Euclid. They found him in England, roaming some streets. He seems to be highly intelligent, sometimes he even speaks or sings old church chants. But that's no excuse for all the people he killed, simply by touching them. He says that he's 'curing' them, experimenting on their bodies until they miraculously come to life again, like zombies. Killing everyone they see. Though..." Jessie's eyes were glued to the picture, glaring at it like he'd try to read it like a book. You asked if he was okay, but Jessie only shook his head.
"I just have the feeling that he's hiding something..."
You two went back to your original duty, cleaning up the bookshelves and putting the folders and documents back in order. Since most of them were old copies of the SCP's info-sheets you decided to sort them by numbers, which made you realize just how many of these SCP's are in this facility. Jessie explained that this facility you are currently in is like a huge maze, with multiple areas and gates, and that you need specific key-cards to access those zones. You just now noticed how much your head starts to hurt from all the information you're trying to save in your brain. It took about three hours for you to clean up the mess. With tired hands and an aching back you walked back outside to report back to Dr. Gordon. Jessie pushed a red button, opening a door that leads into another hallway were the person you were looking for was standing, talking to an Asian woman in a white lab coat. Dr. Gordon turned her head in your direction and gestured Jessie and you over to them.
"Mr. Felek, Mr./Mrs. (y/l/n), may I introduce you two to Dr. Shu, one of our best professors and researchers here at the Foundation." Dr. Gordon said. Dr. Shu reached out to shake your hands.
"Doctor Mi Shu. Happy to make your acquaintance." she cheered with a high pitched voice and smiled widely. You nodded, copying her smile.
"Glad to meet you too. Dr. Gordon, we cleaned up everything and put the documents back in order." Jessie announced, to which Dr. Gordon answered with a raised eyebrow. Her strict facial expression made you hope that she'll approve of your first day of work.
"Thank you, good work. I suggest you go home and rest, the first day can be very tiring."
Your face lit up and you started grinning from ear to ear. Jessie looked at you with jealous eyes.
"Lucky you." he snickered, clearly frustrated over the fact that you get to leave work early. Dr. Gordon turned her attention to Jessie.
"You can leave too, if you want, Mr. Felek. I still have to find another subject for you to work on. Have fun and rest, I expect you two to be as refreshed as you can be tomorrow."
Jessie cheered, giving you a high-five. You two thanked Dr. Gordon before making your way out of the Foundation, still happy and cheering. The gate closed shut behind you, the refreshing chilly air welcoming you back to the outside world. You turned towards Jessie.
"Well then, see you tomorrow, I guess?" you smiled and shook Jessie's hand.
"Sure, see ya."
You walked up to your car, waving Jessie goodbye as he drove off the parking area on his motorcycle. Before starting the engine you stopped and looked back at the gate of the Facility. Maybe your new job will give you more action than you asked for.

Hehe, thank you so much! I feel so honored right now!
I tried to give the SCP's a little more personality than just a simple "Those are deadly", but I'm glad I succeeded.
