Mewtwo used Shadow Ball...I've gotten myself back into Pokemon again ever since I purchased Soul Silver x3 And after seeing a picture that Stitch drew of an adorable little Shellder, it inspired me to draw one of my more fave pokemon of all time, Mewtwo.
And even though my own Mewtwo that I caught in Firered is only lv 81 (And not the lv 100 that it I want it to be like my Charizard, Spark
) He's one of my favorite pokemon currently in my party on Pearl~But now since I'm playing Soul Silver I am constructing a new party of pokemon <3
Also, when I watched Pokemon the First Movie for the first time, I remember being so saaad when I saw it. I was little, but I still remember. And when I saw the movie again more recently, I'll admit it made a tear come to my eye x'3
I'm dedicating this pic to ~ <33 She's such a wonderful friend, and one very very amazing artist. ^^ You deserve it Stitch!

This is really good. Mew Two sorta reminds me of Shadow in his peronality and all. It's kinda funny xD
Anyway, reallly nice job on this and sorry if I can't post a comment as long as Abs, xD, Don't think I can say that much. xD I'm not good at writing like that xD

I love the shadowy swirls of light X3 It really adds an awesome effect to the pic. And the shine in the eye really brings life to the character.

<33 Thanks so much! Originally this was supposed to be painted (sorta like an Oekaki painting) but somehow, I couldn't get Mewtwo to entirely look right without the origional lineart underneath XD; It seemed like every time I would hide the layer, some of the detail was sucked from the picture.
I added those about the last minute in making the picture ^^ I really liked the affect of the shadow ball and all, but I thought that with the kind of power Mewtwo is meant to have (as like, the ultimate life form in the world of Pokemon ;D ) it would seem that his shadow ball attack would have more oomph to it

This is one of the most epic Mewtwo drawings I have ever seen. No joke. I love it, love it, LOVE IT. It also makes me jealous 'cause I can't draw Mewtwo to save my life. xD
First of all, the expression you gave him (it?) fits him perfectly. You can really get a since of Mewtwo's dark and melancholy nature. His eye is very dynamic. Totally amazing. Also, the Shadow Ball's glow adds to the mood of the pic. I can almost feel myself getting sucked into it. Very nice~ o3o
THE SHADING IS AMAZING AS WELL. 8DD
It's soft, yet hard as well, if you get what I mean. There's really nice perspective and anatomy portrayed by the way you shaded, especially on his face. I can't stop looking at his eye. xD In addition, the lineart is thin and a bit sketchy, so it doesn't add a huge blob to the delicate aura of this drawing. (I wish I knew how to draw thin lineart. T-T)
While Mewtwo isn't my favorite Pokemon, I still love this picture. I remember the first movie! I own it. o3o I used to be afraid of Mewtwo, that's probably why I'm not too fond of him. Lol. I remember when Anne and I were little, and she always pretended to be Mew 'cause she could copy its voice perfectly. xD

First, thanks so much <3 It took at least 2-3 crumpled up pieces of paper sketched on front and back before I could get the feel of how Mewtwo is supposed to look. D| I tend to do that a lot when I'm trying to draw a new character or, in fact, ANY char really!!
Mewtwo is..genderless correct? o3o (I think all ledgendaries are. I think now, I'm not sure 
Gaaah SHADING. *hisssss* The bane of my art existence. .w.; I really had some problems with the lighting at times with Mewtwo, and for reasons unknown, his tail troubled me the most. D| I wasn't totally sure if his tail would be lit up any, if at all, by the glow of the shadow ball (Not including the tip of his tail). I was wondering if his arm would be hiding the light, but I figured it wouldn't since the shadow ball is like, the only light source in the nothingness
The lineart is actually the original sketch believe it or not! I'm SO lazy when it comes to actually doing the linearts myself, and I wanted to get right into coloring this. So, I cleaned the lines a little and went straight into the colors xDD
I think I used to be scared of Mewtwo as well, but I don't remember it so much xD I just remember being terrified when his and Mew's combined attack hit Ash 8'c
Awww <3 I always loved Mew~ I think I have a special fondness for Mewtwo because he's the first ledgendary I ever actually caught, and is my second strongest pokemon (Spark is the strongest, but only because I trained him to lv 100

That has to be the longest responce from my long comment I have ever gotten. And it's AWESOME. I wouldn't considered this longer-ish though... it's more like EPICALLY longer. xD I've been spamm-ah-ded. Lawl.
Wow. That's a lot of tries. I'd eventually just get frustrated and give up. I don't have enough patience for that. I believe it took you that many tries, though. Mewtwo is really hard to draw. He's probably one of the hardest first generation PokΓ©mon. And besides that, new characters are always a pain.
"It" is, but I have a hard time calling anything with a personality an "it". I don't know why, but it just doesn't sound right. And yus, all legendaries (and some non-legendaries) are genderless. Mewtwo does look like a he... and sounds like a he... xD I just LOVE the expression. It does really draw attention; the Shadow Ball draws a bit more though cause of its intensity. You captured that emotion perfectly in the way you portrayed Mewtwo. It's sweeto! You put so much depth into this. And yus, I'd be getting sucked into the swirling fortex.
I AGREE. Shading is one of the biggest pains for me. The tail looks a little off, but its not too obvious. I'd be having a lot more problems than that if I was even attempting to make this pic. Shading is definately my downside when it comes to art.
Orly?! That's so cool! Photoshop Elements is terrible at making "right-from-sketch" lineart with a transparent background, so that's not really an option for me. T3T I never would've guessed. It looks great!

I agree. I think their appearances affect the way people veiw them. Also, Mew has a very girly call while Mewtwo has a very manly telepath. xDD

XD Lol, I think the exact same way! And again, agreed with Mew AND Mewtwo |D It seems like the designers set up the pokemon to be given specific gender traits upon sight. (Example: You'd think Skitty, Delcatty, Buneary, or Lopunny would be strictly female but that's not necessarily the case xD)

Mewtwo's melancholic expression, combined with the dark aura really brings out it's general nature. (Unless, of course, yours has a sassy nature or something.
It seems sort of bored, playing with the Shadow ball which could easily take down almost all of it's adversaries.
Maybe it's doing that out of boredom, since not only was he replaced by Lucario, Lucario's just been replaced by Zoroark. *Shot'd between the eyes by Abby*

This Mewtwo here does seem extremely bored, and almost sad at the same time, alone in a dark void/expanse of darkness. I couldn't pass up the concept when I had it in my mind though <3
I'm curious about the new Mewtwo/Lucario, Zoroark. I tried drawing it once, but never really colored it or anything. I might try again later, but we'll see~

Epic MewTwo is EPIC!
He looks so powerful, yet helpless and hopeless at the same time. I just love the concept, and the art's not bad either! Your glow effects are some of my favorites. It's just perfect.

i like the shadow contrast as well as the lightened between the shadow ball and mewtwo, and then the darkness surrounding him.
really good with the shading and you really set the mood for this
this may just be me, but i feel that the right leg (which if you were in mewtwo's actual position it's the left) seems a bit off in the sense that the foot looks too inward, so it looks a bit off. i think maybe the back paw should be placed more on the front instead of the back.
that's just my opinion tho but yea
