Big stamp is big
To my fellow Christians who may want to get on me about this, I point you to my two other stamps similar to this subject: [link] & [link]
I am straight. I support hetero above anything else. I'll let that out right now.
However, I have made friends over time with many people with different sexual orientations, etc, and one of the things I hate most is when they're bashed.
I've been seeing more and more hate popping up towards gays, lesbians, transvestites, etc, and I'm tired of it. I know I can't necessarily "stop" it, as those are people's opinions, but I can speak up about it.
Why do you hate these people listed in my stamp so much? Why do you think they're evil, twisted, demented, mental, etc? Is it because they merely have different views than you? Different philosophies?
Have you ever thought about how these people feel? I've talked to more than a couple bisexuals, a transvestite, and a couple homosexuals before. They're people, not demons or demented.
And as people, guess what? They have feelings just like you do. Why don't you think about all the hate they have to deal with? All the persecution from people around them? All the rejection?
Tolerance may be growing, but so is radical hatred. It's sickening to see these people being torn down and stepped on for who they are.
So I ask you to think before you start bashing. Think about how things are for them before you spit out your words of hatred. Because, believe it or not, you're hurting a person, whether through the internet or in real life.
I say this as I opened my eyes to these people a couple years ago. If I can open my eyes to them, so can you. So take your blinders off and look at them for who they are as a person, why don't you?
Treat others how you want to be treated, yeah?
-----------
Please remember to be mature in your comments. Any blind bashing will be marked as spam or hidden. A well thought-out and mature opinion, however, is welcome.
-------------------------------------------------
EDIT: To be frank, I'm tired of getting comments from people. Especially people who completely miss the point of the stamp, or find some way to twist my words to satisfy their need to be offended and chastise someone.
The stamps are old. I don't really make stamps anymore. I just keep my rants to myself now. Hell, some of my opinions have softened up too in regards to actually caring about those topics these days.
But yeah, comments are disabled now. Thanks to those who offered some interesting insight on any subjects on my stamps!

Omega-WereWolf, why do you not like this particular group of people?
Ake92, are you amening to Omega-WereWolf or the stamp? I'm just wondering cuz its confusing me.
Omega-WereWolf, why are you voicing your opposite opinions on this stamp if it supports something you don't like or tolerate? Everyone aleady knows that there are people who view these people as extremist sinners. Please make a stamp about that and comment on it.

Ummmm... well, I just don't want people to post rude stuff like this on a stamp where nobody's on their side in the first place. And then other people think it's okay. But I wouldn't say he's a troll. That's being rude.

He's a troll, or at the very least being heavily sarcastic. It doesn't take much to realize that someone referring to god as "the invisible man with the magic lollipops" is not being serious.

They sure are evil, sick, twisted, and demented. The invisible man with the magic lollipops said so and who are you to contradict the invisible man?
Rick Santorum and Michele Bachmann can't be wrong can they? That's heresy.

My response to those people is: what happened to not judging people as He is the only judge?
Love the bucktooth btw

True words. I don't hate the person, I just hate what they do. Two totally different things. Rock on.

Well as a Christian that's how we're supposed to look at sins. Don't hate the sinner hate the sin. Since I believe Homosexuality to be a sin I hate that instead of the person.

ChikitaWolf In reply to RedMay33 [2011-07-30 16:39:40 +0000 UTC]
Exactly . I've always had trouble defining how exactly I viewed it myself. It wasn't that I actually, ya know, "supported" it; but I cared about the person. You define it really well ^^

I try, I find that to be the hardest thing for people to understand about how I view Homosexuality. They think just because I hate Homosexuality means I hate every homosexual, which of course I don't.

I just wanted to say thank you for your beliefs in spreading the message. I come from a Christian family, and still carry my faith in God, but have since realized as well that my preferences are mostly towards my own gender. It's great to see that these stamps have gotten so many favorites, and I hope they help spread the message as well.
BTW Thanks for the tutorial on getting the text to change. Not exactly for my benefit, but I appreaciate it none the less

As a Christian myself, I believe that the Christians that won't stop hating on gays/lesbians/transvestites/etc are being just as sinful as the people they claim are doing the sinning. What do they expect to achieve, anyway? No one's going to change their mind over what sexual orientation they are because there are large groups of dimwits holding up signs.

ChikitaWolf In reply to ruby-skylar [2011-07-30 14:27:57 +0000 UTC]
They're judging. . It's like when someone claims I'm being sinful by "tolerating" those people. My response is they're not one to judge me as the only one who can judge me is He and He alone
Plus, how is bashing them witnessing? It's all so silly. Especially those signs, lmao
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ruby-skylar In reply to ChikitaWolf [2011-07-31 09:29:36 +0000 UTC]
Exactly. A part of being a Christian is accepting that we shouldn't judge others, that's God's job.
If I bash you for making stamps, will you stop making stamps? NO. You'll probably just make a stamp about it If I was some kind of concerned friend and was like "I think you need to see someone, you're totally addicted to this stamp making thing... just saying coz I really care about you..." You'd probably take more kindly to that. It sounds cheesy, but love is generally more effective than hate at getting through to people. It's just common sense. (Not that we should be trying to change gay peeps or anything, just making a point)

I don't openly support anything. Because no body should have to. People should get their heads out of each other's business and deal with themselves. Somebody else's life choices are their business.

That last statement you said,
"... If I can open my eyes to them, so can you..."
Wouldn't that sort of apply to seeing Christ?
I mean, I was once an agnostic/atheist and seeing Christ was difficult for me because I couldn't see how Christ was there with me when I was in the lowest point in my life and all the bad things were happening to me. And a very strong Christian helped me see that life leads in bad or good directions. Christ does not want you to hate. Christ wants you to see people no matter how they are. Whether they are gay, bi, straight, transexual, tall, thin, fat, short, skinny, give them the decent respect. Christ created all of us and we're all different.

What d'ya know, it would, wouldn't it?
Indeed ^^ I love the little story where there's a man walking along the beach. During his good times, there was always another set of footprints next to his (AKA: God or Christ if you will). However, during his hard times, there was only his set. The man asked God why He left him during his hardest times. God's reply was that He was with him during that time-- He was carrying him <3
