To my fellow Christians who may want to get on me about this, I point you to my two other stamps similar to this subject: [link] & [link]
I am straight. I support hetero above anything else. I'll let that out right now.
However, I have made friends over time with many people with different sexual orientations, etc, and one of the things I hate most is when they're bashed.
I've been seeing more and more hate popping up towards gays, lesbians, transvestites, etc, and I'm tired of it. I know I can't necessarily "stop" it, as those are people's opinions, but I can speak up about it.
Why do you hate these people listed in my stamp so much? Why do you think they're evil, twisted, demented, mental, etc? Is it because they merely have different views than you? Different philosophies?
Have you ever thought about how these people feel? I've talked to more than a couple bisexuals, a transvestite, and a couple homosexuals before. They're people, not demons or demented.
And as people, guess what? They have feelings just like you do. Why don't you think about all the hate they have to deal with? All the persecution from people around them? All the rejection?
Tolerance may be growing, but so is radical hatred. It's sickening to see these people being torn down and stepped on for who they are.
So I ask you to think before you start bashing. Think about how things are for them before you spit out your words of hatred. Because, believe it or not, you're hurting a person, whether through the internet or in real life.
I say this as I opened my eyes to these people a couple years ago. If I can open my eyes to them, so can you. So take your blinders off and look at them for who they are as a person, why don't you?
Treat others how you want to be treated, yeah?

EDIT: To be frank, I'm tired of getting comments from people. Especially people who completely miss the point of the stamp, or find some way to twist my words to satisfy their need to be offended and chastise someone.
The stamps are old. I don't really make stamps anymore. I just keep my rants to myself now. Hell, some of my opinions have softened up too in regards to actually caring about those topics these days.
But yeah, comments are disabled now. Thanks to those who offered some interesting insight on any subjects on my stamps!

Perhaps they are treating others as the wish to be treated? Perhaps they want to be bashed like they are bashing others. And yes i know that that's ridiculous to say, and i don't really mean it. It's just a way i've started to look at the whole "Treat others how you want to be treated" thing. I believe in it, and i do try to follow it, and when i see others being mean and bashing etc. a part of me thinks the above "Oh that must be how they want to be treated!" not that i would treat them that way, it's just a thought i give myself to help me deal with all the hate.

I accept all of those types of people on this stamp,my Godfather is gay and i love him so much he always supports me and i dont care at all that he's gay, my neighbor is bi and she's still awesome, people who bash people who are different need to get a life and stop wasting theirs and other peoples time. I'm also sick of gays being called fags it is annoying!! thanx for the stamp you are awesome!!!

I may feel a little unsettled around homosexuals and the others listed, but really, it's better to just shut my mouth about my views about things than start a fight about it. I'm begining to tolerate it more because it's becoming more commmon and I'm getting used to it. ^^

Well, can you blame them? The culture that surrounds us it entirely heterosexual-leaning, and only gives a nod to the gay community with the occasional cliche character. Some people compromise by expressing a culture they would like to see, and to get annoyed with them for doing it is largely hypocritical of the way you present yourself.
"I don't mind gay people as long as they act straight in public" is just as horrible a thing to say as "I don't mind straight people as long as they act gay in public". Why should they conform to your comfort zone?

I am happy to say I have never met someone who was openly angered by anyone of a different sexual orientation ^w^ but then again I live in the south and we do not tolerate racism of any kind. I have met many people who are gay or are lesbians and even those who are bisexual. They are very nice people and all of the ones I have met and know were so hospitable! I even lived next to a church that excepted gays and lesbians. I have met my fare share of those who are quite prejudice. I cannot stand for it! I am a very excepting person and if I can be like that so can the world ^_^

I go to a Christian school... which is half of a southern radical Baptist church. There are many radicals there that will judge *sigh*
But tolerance is beginning to spread, which is a nice thing

I am a bisexual Christian and thanks for making this. I agree with your authors comment 100%. We are just people like everyone else, it's not like we chose to be gay and face all the hate. I don't know many people who would go through all that just 'cause. It's just how we are. Its even harder trying to stick with my faith with all the hate but that just proves we aren't demons or whatever. We try are best to be the best Christian's we can and I hate it when people over look that just because we aren't straight. Actually, they over look almost everything about us. All they see is gay/les/bi written on our foreheads.

I for one am supposedly gay and kinda want to be so, so I am against those who hate and bash gays/lesbians. It's nice when one can open their eyes to us and think about our morale and such, I thank you for that. But when people just blindly go bashing every gay, bi, or lesbian they see, they need some help in life. It's not okay to just go around hunting a specific group of people when they have done nothing wrong and bashing people from that group. Honestly, it's a matter of thought and control to keep yourself from doing such a rude thing.

I used to get very frustrated over being picked on for being different, and then I saw some rants from people with various sexual orientations, etc. They were really upset and just asking to be left alone. Though I wasn't in their shoes, I could at least partially sympathize with and understand them.
To sit there and hunt down people like that.. it's wrong. You could be doing something better in your life rather than wasting your time like that *sigh*

It's hard, being picked on so much for being different. I've learned to just take it and deal with it as compliments and pretend the mean teasing are niceties. Thankfully I don't have to deal with too many homophobes in my community. But online is a different story, which is why I've learned to just ignore things like that online or simply troll them.~
