Another rant stamp anyone?

Okay, this one actually has a story to it. One day I’m wandering around Fanfiction.net (I know, I know, it’s dangerous, but I’m careful) and checking out the rated “T” fanfics for D.Gray-Man. I come upon a rather interesting summary for one, so I click on it and start reading. It’s an interesting story so far… until I get to around the fifth chapter.

And Allen’s getting raped by Kanda.

So I’m sittin’ there panicking trying to save my eyes and get to the back button (which is NOT working fast enough!), when somehow I click on the “reviews” link.

What am I met with?

“KAWAIII!!1!”

Eh?

Then I saw another review below that:

“OMG SO HOT!!! I say yes to bondage next time!!”

Allen… being raped by Kanda… is… “cute”?

How is a 15 year old boy getting raped CUTE?!?

I don’t get it! D:

Okay, so I know there are probably plenty of people out there, probably even within my watchers and friends, who… read that stuff… and like it >.>”

I’m not going to bash you for what you… happen to enjoy.

But could someone please explain to me how the raping of a fifteen year old boy is CUTE?

And let’s not even get into the traumatics and mental scarring rape victims get.

Have you ever met a rape victim before? Let alone a CHILD rape victim? Yeah, D.Gray-Man is fictional, so what? If someone told you their 15 year old child was raped by a famous actor or some crap, would you screech “KAWAIII!!1!”?

-> I think the fans are going gaga over the victim characters vulnerability in such a situation. Their primitive little minds are not focusing on the actual brutalization or consequences the victim will suffer physically/mentally ... just that they seem so "cute" being so helpless and vulnerable. It's a blinders on kinda view they need to grow out of I think.

The main draw of these things is showing the helplessness/vulnerability of a character, which can be very cute. But, it can be done in better ways without use of the rape topic. Because the rape cheapens the cute ... even kills it. lol

I do believe she summed it up well ^^"

NOTE: This is in no way meant to bash anyone’s opinion—I am merely stating mine… and how disturbed I am to see girls screeching “KAWAII” towards the rape of such a young boy. Perhaps it’s ‘cause I was 15 only two months ago? To think that someone my age (or a year less now) being raped is… “cute” is disturbing to me. And I don’t care if he’s a different gender than me. Being a boy or girl—either way, I don’t get it.

Also, please don't give out usernames or names of people you are accusing likes rape, etc. These rant stamps are not meant to point fingers, but to voice an opinion.

I would like to thank everyone for supporting and/or voicing their opinions! I think I've come to understand things a bit better-- thank you to those who gave those thoughtful comments xD And a big thank you for not trolling and remembering to read my author's comment *cough*rant*cough*.

As I said, I've heard many opinions, and they've really opened my eyes to some things. However, now... the comments are starting to repeat in meaning and explanation ^^". I'm swamped with comments as it is, and while I'd love to reply to them all and have discussions with everyone, I really can't handle that. I don't like such a ginormous amount of attention to tell the truth >.>" I never would have expected this to get more than 200 views.... Therefore, I'm closing comments.

Once again-- a giant thank you to everybody!

EDIT: To be frank, I'm tired of getting comments from people. Especially people who completely miss the point of the stamp, or find some way to twist my words to satisfy their need to be offended and chastise someone.
The stamps are old. I don't really make stamps anymore. I just keep my rants to myself now. Hell, some of my opinions have softened up too in regards to actually caring about those topics these days.
But yeah, comments are disabled now. Thanks to those who offered some interesting insight on any subjects on my stamps!
