Description Stamp by ~ChikitaWolf

Pretty explanatory by itself honestly

I just think it's rather funny how some people are so offended about not being respected when they haven't exactly shown respect towards their counterpart either.

If you expect respect from others, respect them in-turn. I've been one to follow that rather than "respect me and I'll respect you", though I guess that could be a different story in regards to comments on my part xD

Sometimes it takes you to make the first step to show respect rather than the other person~

Just a thought

Exactly!! It's so annoying when you say you respect someone's opinion on a ship and they get all mad about it or think you're lying.

Some people are hypocrites! Like really I've seen people bash on other's opinion just cuz they're different, and they want THEM to respect THEIR opinion!

Like I've even seen an 18 YEAR OLD girl bash on people just cuz thy have different opinions from her to the point where she tells them TO KILL THEMSELVES!!!

And make it a point to respect others even if they disrespect you, after awhile they'll wonder why the heck they were being so rude and disrespectful to you.
Kill them with kindness!

Because some people use fear to be respected.  It's very effective.

I dunno about "very effective" if fear of a person leads to those who fear that person to betray them LOL. It's happened countless times in history. Sometimes fear can cause respect, yes; but certainly not as often. I guess it'd depend on the context?

Some moderators/admins from other websites are just mean/butthurt.

On gaming. A moderator banned someone else who beat him at PvP.

I honestly feel that the term "respect" is misused. People use it to mean "don't be a jerk to people". That's not what respect means however. People keep telling me to respect everybody... even people I do not know. Which is where the true definition of this word comes in. Respect is admiration. I wouldn't admire somebody I didn't know, or somebody I didn't like. Therefore I wouldn't "respect" them.

So when you say to respect others to be respected, it doesn't really work. Respect is earned through your actions. Not just given freely.

Thank you! There's this one person I know who kept insulting someone's art, calling it "pieces of shit" and stuff. Another person kept telling her to stop, and then the person replied, "WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN?? "

...Seriously?

Vanilla-Flaminga In reply to chokokun [2013-08-19 22:04:40 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I can see what you mean there. It's a shame, isn't it, that there are people who treat others terribly and expect to be treated properly. It doesn't quite work that way. :/
