Description Autumn figures our beloved Sir Didymus because foxes are russet in colour, and because foxes love the fruits of fall. Didymus may be half squirrel, half fox, and half goblin (and no one knows what the rest is), but whatever he is, I picture him as someone who spends autumn rooting out the food and having little feasts.

Autumn entry for the-labyrinth-club's Seasons contest.

Yay for the pomegranates and persimmons! And Sir Didymus's clothes! And the tablecloth! And the abundance of falling, classic Photoshop leaves! Superb job!

Love this piece. The colors and the composition really speak to me. I almost don't want to delete from my inbox because then I don't get to see it everytime I log into DA! So, I ed it.

Great job and thanks for sharing! I'm off to find the rest of your series for the contest.

Yay, Didymus! Art of him always makes me smile. Great job on the fur and the fruits! The colors are perfect as well!

...I always picture him to be part "crazy granddad" and part "Don Quixote" as well as what you mentioned.

There is a Winter counterpart, but I'm afraid there is nothing Christmassy about it :/

I like the balance, the colors of his fur and the fruits.
Foxes really show off the season's palette and survive off the bounty it brings.
Sir Didymus is in the autumn (certainly not winter) of his life.

I love this!!

The colours are gorgeous and it helps that my favourite season is autumn.

Didymus is wonderful, I love that his mouth is open, he's probably barking orders at someone lol probably Ambrosious

Sir Didymus looks great and very realistic and the fruits look tasty. By the way, I've never known, that foxes eat fruit, I thought they were predators.

Foxes eat pretty much anything they can catch, and fruit doesn't run very fast. They're pretty omnivorous, really.
