Cool tutorial! I find your tutorial helpful to see how you draw Rover's curly hair. Do you plan to do a full body tutorial of Rover and the gang?

Thanks! I thought it might help anyone who wanted to draw him.
Maybe.

Cool! Since I like your art style and I recently saw you post a sketch commission for someone, I'm curious how much you would charge for a sketch commission depending if you are available for one?

Um...I've been thinking of putting up a commission page. In the similar style to the one I recently posted...or like this one. Probably $5 for a head shot and $10 for full body.
But I am pretty picky about things I draw. I don't do any characters even remotely connected to the supernatural. And any commissions I would draw would be G rated. Not that I really have to worry about that from you.

Cool! I was thinking like the style you that you did for Hannah Little's sketch commission: fav.me/dacukjz
How much would you charge if you did a colored head shot with a plain background?
Thanks for the heads up! No worries, I don't blame you for being selective with your commissions and such especially if the content makes you feel uncomfortable or goes against your faith
I was thinking if you could draw my Android character, Andre Lombardi , who is the main protagonist of my sci-fi story Project Droid: The Emancipation of Andre Lombardi

How can you show volumes front front view pictures? I'm unable too, I can only if I draw 2 and 3 point perspective.

You mean you want tutorials for 3/4 and side views?

AliceSacco In reply to chill13 [2016-08-10 13:45:23 +0000 UTC]
Exactly I said that I can't show volumes when I draw from one point perspective, while I can if I draw 2 and 3 point perspective.
In your drawing, your character looks 3D even if you drew him from front side and without any enviroment.

Thanks! I always have trouble with making them look feminine enough an figuring out where to properly place breasts.

Eh, breasts are a kind of temperamental thing. I can see why that'd be difficult.

This is so beyond awesome!!! I just... Wow! This is cool and fun to actually see your exact process.
Oh! I think I missed commenting on any contest thing cuz I've let journals get buried in my inbox lately, sadly... I need to check that out.

I thought some people might find it useful.
Oh! Yeah! The prize is a physical object this time!

I was curious about your process, cuz a few months ago I tried to copy some of your pics of Rover in my sketchbook for practice (don't know if I mentioned that to you before or not). Now that I see this, I don't think I was too far off how I was drawing him.
Ooh! A little Jssfloon model would be AWESOME!!! Totally awesome!!

Ooh! I'd love to see those sometime!
I thought it would make a good prize.

John-AM In reply to chill13 [2016-08-10 13:52:02 +0000 UTC]
I'll have to see if I've scanned them yet. If not, I'll try and scan them some time today (I am soooo behind in scanning my sketchbooks...)
It would! The style with the simplified shapes of that one you made is just so nifty. You had the option of a physical prise with your previous contest, didn't you? Or am I thinking of something else?

chill13 In reply to John-AM [2016-08-10 14:00:09 +0000 UTC]
Me too. I have quite a bit of stuff in my sketchbook I haven't scanned in. Waterfalls for one. I've been drawing a lot of waterfalls. We got to go hiking for the convention and we went to Silver Falls again and I actually got to see a bunch of them this time and I stopped and sketched them. I'm usually no good at landscapes but I'm kind of happy with how these turned out.
Well, I wanted it to be easy to follow.
Yes. I did, a drawing.

John-AM In reply to chill13 [2016-08-10 14:42:51 +0000 UTC]
Ooh, really? I would really love to see those!!! I need to draw landscapes more too. Actually there's a good sized waterfal near me, close to those Sand Dunes I told you about. I wonder if I could try it.
I have like... I think three skatchbooks, seventy pagers you know, that probly go back maybe two years that I still need to scan... Ugh. Oh well.

I'm glad! I was going to write out each step too, but I thought it seemed kind of redundant. The pics are pretty straightforward.
Not my fanciest masterpiece. LOL! But it is just to give folks the idea.
