Description
This sword was made for my Ichigo costume at Anime North 07.The sword was made of pine using a jigsaw, hand planer and power sander. Took me about 4 hours to do. Painting took me about 2 weeks due to a few screwups. After all that I wrapped the handle in some nylon ribbon. In the end the thing weighs around 5 pounds and is 63 inches. I'm happy with how it turned out.
*There are a few signs of con damage.

Thanks. Was the wood you used of a particular consistency, or did you just use a sheet of normal pine wood?

thats the best zangetsu ive seen yet!!!
I dont want to steal your ideas or anything, but I also wanted to make a zangetsu as well. Qid you have any trouble witth the the small indent between the hilt and blade because I think if the materials to heavy as soon as I pick it up it might snap XD. Is ther e anyway to avoid and how did you avoid it?

I haven't had any problems with it snapping or coming close. The sword is pretty light for its weight actually.
