Description
-It's a pretty big file, so it might take a bit to load, sorry XD-Download for full size.
Phew. I had no idea how long it takes to make a tutorial XDD And I hate that you can't make preview images anymore with these >_<
Anyways, I was asked to do this a while ago... and I finally did it! ^^ I hope it makes sense to a few people at least... oh! And I appologize ahead of time for any spelling or grammar mistakes >_>;;
This is, of course, my own way of drawing. I'm not saying it's the only way to draw or anything~

Nothing nice to say? My intentions clearly were to help. Loomis' works are a lot more helpful than this.
It's not about what I can learn from it. What I'm trying to say is that this doesn't tell you what you need to know when drawing eyes.
It doesn't give you the structure of the eyeball, It doesn't give you the restrictions on eye movement, it says nothing about how open/closed each eyelid can be. etc. etc.
It doesn't even give any advice on mirroring it for the other eye, I'm sure many novices using this are having most trouble with that.
And it most certainly has nothing about drawing eyes in other perspective.

Maybe you should have stated all of that in your original comment. Otherwise it just comes off as arrogant negativity. Just saying.

It seems that I need to elaborate, or else criticism="arrogant negativity."
Just please take some of my advice. Deviantart is not the right place to go when learning to draw.

"And you should really follow old-school advice about not saying anything if you have nothing nice to say"
Except that's like the worst advice ever.
You can't expect to improve at all if you keep denying yourself from criticism and such.

It's called balance. Let's go back to your comment.
"There is really nothing to learn from this.
You've shown how to draw an eye, but it shows nothing of understanding the eye itself. Especially since the eyes you've drawn are incredibly flat.
A beginner artist will eat this up, but it only set them further back."
That is completely negative. Balancing it out would look something like:
"You've shown how to draw an eye from the front, which is good if your pictures are just facing forward and nothing else. However, if you wanted to draw something from the profile, this tutorial would not be as helpful."
See, that wasn't so hard. You got your silly negativity in as well as something constructive so they will learn. Ta da! Everybody wins.

No you're just being picky for worthless things and acting like a child about it. Nobody is going to express the way like you want to, at least, be grateful he didn't insult you, and remained civil and polite.
Don't disregard his whole comment just because of some random "bullshit" word.
Also, I don't know you're considering Ittla's comment as mine, unless you actually belive I'm some kind of alt account, which is completely untrue. He is a friend of mine from a forum, that's all.

That or I really didn't care to pay attention to seeing who actually responded since the tone was the same.
And I'm not being a child or picky. I was just suggesting that he, or you I guess whatever, actually give constructive criticism if you're going to make a negative comment to something that someone had worked on.
But whatever, he can think what he wants, you think what you want, and I'll think what I want. Hurray, we're all happy.

It's pretty much obvious you don't want to improve on your art, otherwise you wouldn't make some 'baaaw' comments

I never said I wanted to improve myself. When I do draw, it's very shittacular and I'm proud that it's shittacular.

Yes, but this isn't really helpful once you try to draw the same eye from profile, or even a slight angle.

This is an INSANELY helpful tutorial! I'm so glad I caught it on daily deviations, your shading in particular is gorgeous. <3
I'll have to look at the rest of your gallery, I've seen enough just here to know you're amazing.

I find this extremely useful. I'm always mixing anime eyes with more realistic styles; realistic shape with anime iris'. This really does give me useful tips on how to draw the lashes and pupils.
