Soooooo, we got a kinda nightmare-beeing that neigther looks trustworthy with that grin, nor seems to be able to go the psychological way to earn trust.
Cause seriously, Mrs. Shadow, that is the eqivalent of a crowbar in a surgery. You are realy obvious that you won't be helpfull...

Here are your Mistakes, so you may learn and become a better 'inside your mind'-Antagonist:
1. You never tryed to earn the victims trust before sending them on a trip of fear.
2. You did give your victim a positive moment and shatered it, the feartrip was all in all O.K., but also puted your victim in a desperad state.
3. Desperade People are tricky, eigther they will grap your bait, or they will reject it because your lacking pre-earning of trust makes you a obvious source for the 'Nightmare' they are in. It is not like there is anything to lose, anyway, but in ending the nightmare, there is much to win... For the victim, of course.
4. You aren't makeing a good job at looking trustworthy. Or to say it better, acting trustworthy. Mimic and Gestic are instinctive callsigns, and yours aren't reflecting 'Good Samarita' or 'Friendly' or 'Helpfull hand'. At best, it looks like you are trying to sell a evil pact, at worst, you could try to sell a subscription with a monthly fee. At least by the looks of your pose. Even if you ARE selling a evil pact, don't look like it!
5. Mirroring the victims aperence is no bad move, when acting friendly and helpfull. The thing on your ear is may a bit strange, but nothing too dramatic.
6. You try to earn our victims trust by destroying the trust into others, what is in general not a bad idea, but would require that you earned the trustof your victim first, since there is no rason to put you over their longtime friends. Ghostly depictions of friends as hatefull spirits seldom work, if not preset by something, anything, positive from your side first.
And most important:
7. "I am the only person that cares for you." Is neigther friendly, nor helping your cause. "I care for you." Is more effective, since it doesn't brings negative emotions in contact with the simple "I". The "I am the only person that cares for you." implies on the other hand that you don't belive that anyone could care for her, conecting negativety with you in particular.

TLR= Earn Trust-Destroy trust in others-destroy trust in the victim itself-be their only 'friend'-do with the victim as you please, but keep the cover up untill it is to late.
