No problem,  it's still work in progress haha. But I was planning to add  more features then I see in the concept. So a rocket chamber on the side,  some taser launcher, and a couple of more features. Any suggestions of where to put them. There might be a change in the design after that.

NenadGojkovic In reply to Chofni1996 [2014-06-30 05:39:11 +0000 UTC]

Well, as it is a 3d model, only you can know where positioned each feature would look the best Just try all these and you'll see where each fits the best.  You have my "permission" to play with it as much as you want haha

humm...that's interesting ! i saw your couple of videos and thank you so much for that  but, doing something integrated as this in zbrush is really tricky. If I were you I would have pulled  all my hair out to get this far.coming from years of hardcore 3ds max polygonal modelling it's really hard for me to plant my foot in sculpting.

oh and quick zbrush question where is that option to get rid of all the curve lines leftovers by curve masking I read some where that I can a delete that line but, I forgot how

ArmoredWolfArt In reply to whattoput [2014-08-03 05:36:05 +0000 UTC]

Haha, I feel ya. Now that I look back, I can't believe I actually disliked working with zbrush. Today I am here to speak of it's power, even with non organic shapes.

Chofni1996 In reply to whattoput [2014-06-29 16:05:07 +0000 UTC]

I understand what you mean,  coming from a different work flow to another can be very difficult at first. But in time that to, becomes easy to do. I don't know what it was but I learned relatively fast, how to work with zbrush4r4 and up. So there wasn't allot of hair pulling from me lol. I hear from allot of people that they want to step over to zbrush because it is very time consuming, when you model in 3dsmax. Zbrush sculpting is based of real life sculpting methods .So it might be different at first. If you're looking for hardsurfce techniques or organic modeling in zbrush. There are a ton of tutorials out there.

I think it's me, but what do you mean with deleting leftover by curve masking ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

whattoput In reply to Chofni1996 [2014-06-29 16:24:01 +0000 UTC]

yup that's my hope, tackling zbrush before getting kicked out from my house
and actually in some case zbrush work flow is faster but there pretty good long way to get that much experience, you see in traditional modeling software you don't have to trick the software to get what you want most of the time it's straight forward once, you get to know the tools and their operation topology is the only thing in your way is topology or creating shapes out of shapes geometrically ,and you can tackle it pretty easily if you concentrate enough.but with zbruzh there is no straight wayand with zbrush you've to practice and practice and you need a lot of patience especially when you want to get rid of idea of 'creating object geometrically' and idea of sculpting like in real world
say you used curve masking and draw a line and by moving you created a mask, and once your are done with the masking for what ever you created you unmask everything right ? but the line you drew before it just stays on the model that's what i was asking

If you are having trouble unmasking the whole mask,  go to the mask sub menu and press the unmask option. Or if you want to get rid of only one part use invert mas.here are some of the shortcuts.

6.5 MaskingView Mask - Ctrl+HInvert Mask - Ctrl+IMask All – Ctrl+ASelect Masking Brush - hold Ctrl while selecting brush from popupPaint mask on object (alphas/strokes can be used) - Ctrl (hold down)Delete or paint reverse mask – Ctrl+Alt (hold down)Reverse mask – Ctrl+Click BackgroundClear Mask – Ctrl+Click+ drag BackgroundConstant-intensity mask - Ctrl+Click, release Ctrl, drag (starting off mesh)Alpha-intensity mask (using MaskPen or MaskRect brush) - Ctrl+Click & drag

(select alpha while holding Ctrl)

Very cool, buddy. I can't wait to see how you get all those features to work in the final model.

It will be a fun thing to try , can't say the model will stay the same , but I hope so.Adding new features to an existing design always changes the overall look.

There is something about dynamic flows , that I really like.Especially when you look at something as hi-tech the iron man suit.So thank you for noticing.
