Hi,

So after making a few hard surface models in Zbrush , i decided to make a tutorial for you guys.In this tutorial i will create this model below.Right now i have the legs finished , not detailed but done.I will move up to the torso and the rest of it.When it's finished i will share this with you guys.I will make a you tube video of the finished model , and there i will answer every questions , but also on deviant art and cg-hub.The tutorial will probably be over 2 hours and thats why i will provide the download link as well.I made a quick render in keyshot.

Well here or the legs and till then.

very nice of work there, I am also a 3d art student at 2nd grade atm, where did you learn how to create sculpts on zbrush? I would like to express my artistic concepts on zbrush I had some issues with it, I know most of the basic buttons.

It Really depends on what kind of direction you want to go with it.As you can see I love the hard surface part of it.How about you , maybe I can better answer your question.

I am going all of its directions but mostly focused on art and game creation (weapons, gear, items etc.)
I like art, I am hard to learn but easy to get used to it. The thing is, If I know a software well enough I can create art out of it, say I want to create a sword, check my profile, I made it within less than 2h.
I used few and basic tools. I don't know how to create almost everything for example i want to make a crisp edge fast, I don't know how without the manual way (sculpt it alt+a brush).

Okay I see.Well I haven't learned allot of zbrush by tutorials , just the basics and features of the program. However its always good to watch somebody create a quick model , for inspiration. If you already know all the basics it comes down to modeling it self.Just pick a concept from the internet , which has allot of them. Then start  working on it.If it doesnt go well , try something simple yet not easy to make. You will learn from your mistakes.There are alot of tutorials on YouTube that cover organic modeling. Weapons not so much , because they make those in Maya, blender, max, sketch up and so on.But that doesn't mean you should do it in those , as many people have proven it can also be done in zbrush. For hard surface suits try eat3d.com mike Jensen's tutorial if you already haven't.And try recreating from 2d concepts of people or your own.It will help allot.Practice making everyday objects with the program.If you're lookin to create nice clean edges , try this.Using crease feature within Zbrush: youtu.be/IkhQYdrMuDo . Or polish by group. For that you need to look up a quick tutorial. But I can't find it.push your self to the limit and practice a few days a week. You will gain insight by watching tutorials (eat3d,zbrushcentral,digital tutors,YouTube) but you will learn by doing the modeling your self.

thank you very much, I am planning on doing 3d as a living since I am studying it, yes  I create on maya and 3dmax but those have minor sculpting tools, well the proccess of making hd poly mesh onto a low poly game bothers me anyway but i think i will get used to it after I learn it.

HI, i would like to ask.........I like the texture and the lights you did here, did you use another software to render or did you do it in Zbrush too? coz it looks a lot like it was done on Cinema 4D.
