Knight of ChaosPulsian Champion
*Edit* Due to popular demand, added proper reference for the crystal sword
I sat on this idea overnight and it killed me not being able to sketch it out :'D I had two ideas based on Cie'th, one of them was based more around the undying, I referenced the Ghast Cie'th because I liked the way you could still see the L'cie's face in amongst all the crystal stuff but I felt that basing the look more around the Sacrifice Cie'th and Cid Raines' Hybrid L'cie form may fit a bit more, and it just looks more visually pleasing and the Hybrid Cie'th seem to have consciousness rather than being brainless enemies.
I wanted a dress-like bodice to keep a kind of elegance amongst the chaotic crystal appendages going on :'D
That's pretty much my idea, something elegant and chaotic in theme cB
I seem to enjoy the chaos theme don't I? XD

I just wanted to say that I looked at all your entries and I really like how your designs reflect elements from the game, it really shows that you're a fan. Out of your three, I think this is my favourite. The what-if scenario, and this design give a nice elegance to the usual monstrous cie'th image. Nice work and good luck!

No way, luck has nothing to do with it, your submissions are both great as banners and character design exhibits. (I am still confused about what they want - some say character design sheets, other say that the banner layout is more important. Either way you've got both down!)

;u; FF is the reason I pushed myself to get better at drawing hnnnnn, I wanted to get into character design but I never could afford it and now I have a kid it's kind of off the table now, so this is a stella opportunity to just prove that I can do something... maybe ;u;
I adore Amano's art I have a big art book in my shelf that I flick through sometimes, and I swear I've replayed XIII multiple times just to ogle the visuals :'D Despite its flaws that people love to shove in my face as if it will make me enjoy it less, I really adore this series.
I don't have much fanart in my gallery since I started a new account and have stuck to drawing my own work, but I used to draw a lot of FF fanart, you've actually reminded me that I never posted the FF8 characters that I drew a while back :'D Looks like I have to rummage through my files to put them up ;u;

Im a huge supporter of art being an artist myself, so I love to look and see what people do and how creative they can get, and both your chaos and C'ieth piece are fantastic.
and I couldn't agree more, I love the final fantasy franchise! I've seen an Amano final fantasy art book he's done, its called "Dawn: the world of final fantasy" I think, and the artwork and all the concepts inside it are beautiful.Β
