Sorcière (Sorceror), premiering from atop The Forbidden MountainCan't seem to get out of this Mucha x Disney phase! Not sure I ever want to! Anyways, this was inspired by one of my favourite Mucha works, "Lorenzaccio" [link] I wanted to create a poster for Maleficent, as if it was for her own feature film, or just for her
. Since I love the old red-concept art of Maleficent, I decided to pay respects to it, I love Maleficents' purple, but red would have been kick ass as well.The Mistress of all Evil belongs to Disney.

AHH MAGNIFICENT MALEFICENT! I agree with you about the red...I agree i'd be kinda kick ass but a lil to obvious with regard to the DEVIL analogy. As always, a beautiful piece, I especially appreciate the long lines you created. Perfect. I would've liked to see more vibrant colors maybe? but perhaps that will nullify the whole "art nouveau" look; lovely lovely lovely.

Thank you very much! I always play with the colours at the end, and their was a time when I had very bright colours to reflect the medieval feel of Sleeping Beauty, it looks cool but I don't think it was as nice as the one I uploaded.

While I never liked the Sleeping Beauty movie (just too much of... everything for my taste), Maleficient truly kicks ass!
