Chris sits at the side, not the main focus of the picture, but his emotion shows that this dead brother in arms was important to him, being a commanding officer.

Twin pelicans swoop around Sally's right, showing that this is a military matter. Men of honor, born to be brave, give their lives and some end up in places like these, empty graves.

Finally, the leaves blowing across the center give it a calm feeling. Nothing can harm them here.
