Description
This is a sketch I made of a ship that will be used in the next story arc of The Journals of Sally Acorn, the UNSC Currie, a Morray-class science vessel that is used by the Frontier Corps for meteorological and atmospheric studies of alien planets. Named after Canadian meteorologist Balfour Currie, it also carries out radiological studies of planet atmospheres, which lends its logo of an atom. The commanding officer of this ship is Commander Ethan Lancaster, and no that is not a Game of Thrones reference. I don't watch the show.
Some of my design may have come from my experience with Kerbal Space Program which has taught me everything that a rocket needs to get into the sky and around orbit!

This ship does look cool, although I'm not sure if the flaps should really be there given the technology level of your story BUT I do love it.
PS: It looks like a ship where something like Dead Space would happen on.

Those are really solar panels, not flaps. They're reliable. Just point at sun!
Doesn't it, right?

Cool. Although, while KSP DOES have some good idea for that, it's physics engine and drag measurement thingies, etc. etc. aren't the most realistic. hence why a tiny probe and six wings can fly on atmospheric planets just by "flapping" them, when in reality the way they're set up wouldn't work.
oh, XD when i read "Currie" i thought of that really spicy dish. XD

You're the second person to say the Currie thing. It was originally supposed to represent Marie Curie a nuclear physicist from the 1800s, but I kinda screwed up the name and by then it was already on paper, along with the atom, so I had to search for a scientist with the name 'Currie' and I found one. Crisis averted.

That's a nice design and sketch. I'll have to look at those Sally Acorn journals.

Please do! I put a lot of work into those stories! It's an ongoing series! I'm aiming it to cover five in-story years!
