Description
Part of a story i'm working on right now.It is a very slow process, although I have no idea how long it usually takes to write and paint graphic novels, but i'm trying to speed things up anyway
Also, maybe some of you guys can suggest a few novels to me, i'm trying to read as many as possible to get a feeling for it. I prefer to read only fantasy for now because mine own will be in the fantasy genre and i dont want to be influenced by sci-fi or anything. But if it's just something mind-blowingly awesome i'll read it even if it's not fantasy

To be honest it's because your artwork would lend itself so perfectly to a graphic novel series that Slaine sprung to mind. Some of the finest Slaine art is magnificent and I think you could produce work at least as visually stunning

I just stared at it. I couldn't remove my eyes from this amazing piece of art. The small amount of the colour red completed it all for me. Very nicely done.

As for how long it takes to write a graphic novel...as long as it has to. Don't rush it just to get it finished, take your time and make it a piece of work that you'll be proud of.
If the other pictures are up to this standard, I'm sure you'll get an interested publisher.

I could give you a load of fantasy books to read but it depends on what type of fantasy you like really.
BTW really good picture, I can't decide if it is decomposing or growing into something entirely new :fav+:

I have no idea who this character is but it appears to be a creature of night and earth. It's ethereal and organic at the same time. It looks like something that is currently being created. I love the sense of movement and the depth of field. It's an unusual take on a common theme. Lovely.

I think it is sometimes incredibly hard with silhouetted/semi silhoutted figures to create something that doesn't look too 'stiff'. However, I think you have nailed this one. You've managed a perfect balance between stark and dramatic, dark against light, whilst keeping the movement of the character. You have just the right amount of detail in the highlights to give this fella some real personality. And I really dig your painterly stye!

Well, I'm searching for something with demons, i dont really need anything with elfs/orcs or dragons. And ideally the plot should be on a psychological level.
Right now, my main inspiration is dante's divine comedy although i'm not really a fan of poetry. I also wouldn't mind reading short stories, in fact, it would be great to find some sort of collection with stories like that.

That is out of the range of what I normally read. For Horror and Macabre I would say go back to the old Masters like Poe and Lovecraft. Not the more Modern ones like Rice and King. Not saying that their stuff is not good (I really can't say because I don't read this genre normally. But I do like aspects of it). My problem with the newer "Horror" stuff especially in film is that they don't know how to truly build suspense, and it is not true horror but what I call "Gorror". They rely too much (although gore has it's place) on Gore. Hope this helps. These are only my thoughts.
