Description
Here is a Runescape fanart that I am submitting for the July gallery. Wish me well! The subject is based on some of the quests in the game's area called Rellekka. Some items in the picture include the Helm of Neitiznot, a Seal of Passage, Fremennik sea boots, and an enchanted Lyre. Of less relativity is her Bandos armor and Leaf-bladed sword (for slaying Turoths in the Rellekka slayer caves?)
It occurred to me midway through this that it was very similar in composition to my other piece, "Guardian of Skye ." I guess I just have a thing for sitting by large bodies of water contemplatively during sunset.
Update: Seagulls are Unforgotted!

Wowww. That looks super-epic useful. Might well change the way I do art! I can't wait to try these out. thank you SO much!
I have played with that little arrow a bit, but I tend to lose patience after awhile. I'll set some brushes up for myself and somewhere along the way, everything gets reset and I have to do it all over. So my brush pallet got stuck on basic round-size brushes, lol.

no problem ^w^ i hope it helps :3 that would be great tell me if you did something ok?
i wanna seeeee XD
i keep hopping through brush settings lol. i can never stick to one long..io should put myself a brush pack together of those that i use, too, since its usualy the same i DO use, but its sooo boring i rather dig through all the mess D: you just gotta save it of course. but too many brushes in one pallet are annoying too...

I wasn't sure if I told you, but I DID come back to this and worked a little with the texture brushes, not a lot, but a bit. Sadly I don't have the old version to compare...
I DID do a new picture with some texture, here: [link]
I still have a lot to learn, i think, but It's a start! If you look at the description, there is a photobucket link to an older untextured version of that picture, so you can see the difference the brushes made.
Thank you again for the suggestion, those brushes are awesome and I will be using them a lot, I am sure!

Thank you much! I enjoyed doing the waves, they came out just as I imagined -- for once. lol

Welcome to a very small group of people I like to think of as "people who actually deserve to get into the Players' Gallery"!

I am honored that you feel that way! For whatever reason, Jagex only has 8 spaces each month, so I've got my fingers crossed. (They really should add more, huh?) Thank you again for the very flattering comment!

Yeah. They really should have more. They should also not have themes, but that is a rant that I have already been victorious in expressing >.>

I believe I recall seeing your rant, now that I think about it! And I am happy to see those restrictions dwindling out.

Aw, that's very flattering, thank you! I hope you're right. I seem to be incredibly unlucky with contests for some reason unknown to me, even when submitting within my own skill tier as an artist. It can be really disheartening -- sort of like losing to Jad. Hours of work and nothing to show, lol.
I've never submitted to Jagex before though, so maybe this time will be different

It all depends on the themes month, I reckon...

True. Jagex seems to be loosening the strings on that, though. When the theme was carnival festivities of some sort, I recall hearing that they had precious few relative entries and just accepted art with a different theme. I think the following (most recent?) month had no theme at all.
This month has a "suggested theme" of Fremennik influence, but they even pointed out that it wasn't necessary.
Which is, ironically, what made me want to submit something. I like my artistic freedom -- funny enough, I went with the theme anyway. lol

I saw your entry, by the way! (I meant to mention in my last post, but I get so long winded...) Very nicely done. I must say, I chuckled that your character went through a sort of reverse morphism for the Runescape site.
Didn't you think the fox look would fly with Jagex, otherwise? (lol, pun.)

Hehe thank you!
I would have liked to have submitted anthro to the gallery, I tried that this month and didn't get in, so I'm pretty sure Jagex wants to avoid it in their gallery

Huh. Well that's silly! What did you submit? (Also, I suspect that Jagex doesn't like to accept the same artists too many times in a row. Seems they've had flack for it or something.)
Do some Menaphite-themed art. They can't deny anthro to that, right?

I submitted a condensed version of this [link] so the characters could be seen in better detail.
And it has nothing to do with the same artists over and over again, Syb2 has gotten in about 5 times now.
Lastly, I believe there's no limits to what they'll deny

Actually Syb2 hasn't gotten 5 times in a row. Its just 2 consecutive months.
Oh anyway, I am Syb2. Nice to meet you guys.

My exact feelings when I've finished Fremennik Isles - that was the most amazing quest I've ever done.

I enjoyed them, too. Some quest series get under my skin, but I always tend to enjoy the Fremennik ones. I still have a few left, I think, most notably a few Lunar quests and Blood Runs Deep. Should be interesting! hehe.
